Cosmetic Armor Colour Change

Hey,

I don't know whether this has been discussed previously, but I would really like to see a way of adding a different colour to existing armours, added to the game.
For example, I really like the look of the Scavenged Warplate, but would prefer it in red. If we had a choice to buy the colour through the store it would be great!

this has been suggested before and shot down by devs as impossible to implement without modifying every single piece of armor.

It was suggested a while back, Sev liked the idea of it but the current system was built around a one-off design not a palette that would allow for customization..

but.. moving forward... is this not something that could be designed in...
could even introduce it as a DDO store version of customizable base items with a selection of looks, trims, accents... that could be added to in store and in game...
Many players want to build a certain look, while the graphics/design team has come up with some great cosmetics they are still limited to one off designs.

I still think it should be possible to implement a simple color swap interface in game.
I've used this online tool to produce a bunch of usable color variants using the function Adjust > Color Changer.

Obviously, in game the change would only apply to the armor.
