    Thumbs up Entry period closed!

The entry period for submissions is now closed. I'd like to thank everyone who has submitted entries and I encourage everyone to vote for their favorite submission of the finalists on DDOwiki Image Poll! The 3 finalists all received a 500TP code to use in the DDO Store (currently unavailable from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT) on Tuesday, June 14th for subscription migration and maintenance).

Default Just so you know Shoemaker...

    To Shoemaker,

a comment was made to the contrary on a date I used in a photo submission:

From the DDO frontpage is where the date was received -

"Welcome to DDO wiki, a collaboratively edited and written information database for any player of the Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game (MMORPG) Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO). This website is a comprehensive source of information for everything about this game released on February 23, 2006. Using wiki allows anyone who is a fan of DDO to contribute, and help DDO wiki become a great resource for the game."

Indeed. That was a very cool submission illustrating all kinds of things that the DDOwiki offers.

    Default Another kobold vote

Seems like this was a short window for folks to decide -- i just saw this posted today. But my vote would have been the kobold reading the manuals.....catches old school pnp pouring over resources for info...just like wiki does for us now.

Grrowler, that was a fantastic submission. I think you definitely should've won. Maybe I can modify my local DNS server to replace whatever URL they end up using from the winner with yours.

There wasn't any poll to vote for the 3 final entries. Just some comments on a channel that helped Shoemaker pick them on his own as stated at the OP:

I pondered that comment when they mentioned it on the stream but remembered something from a copyright class I took awhile back called transformative work, That would not have been a copyright infringement, it was changed enough to fall under fair use of Copyright - there are many sources but here is one: http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/c...online-images/
Regardless, it would be easy to have them remove it and the photo would still be my choice.

Forget the rules, the Kobold entry looks best.

It's true that the game was officially launched and released on February 23, 2006, the wiki was created on January 4, 2006. That was all that my comment was about, and since these were submissions for the wiki, I feel/felt that it would've been more appropriate to use the wiki's launch date instead of the game.

grrowler got in touch with me, and I reviewed and I misread my spreadsheet with the last minute submission and I forgot to add the forum post link to that new submission making me think that the submission above that was by Grrowler was by Seruvontes. I formally apologize for that oversite/error on my part. I've offered Grrowler the 500TP code that it should have won as a finalist submission. I've checked on the forums and there is no way for me to modify the existing poll, and it wouldn't be fair to the 35-40 people who already voted for me to have to recreate the whole thing from scratch. I've requested information from Cordovan via PM to see if he can modify the poll to add the fourth submission explaining my error.

The post for submissions was up for about a month and has been in big red letters on a black background on the home page of the wiki the entire time. I've also announced it on every one of my livestreams as I remember and I'd also announced it on streams of others on DDOstream including streams by Cordovan. I advertised the contest on the wiki's Facebook page and Twitter account when it was posted. I apologize that there was not enough notice for you, but feel free to PM me with what I could do differently next time there is a contest to make sure I reach a broader range of viewers. Thanks!
