One of my old toon when I log in gets "raid alliance"
but I think this isn't used?

Wondering if there are any active channels

There is "Defense" channel, but I don't know how active it is now. I was never in it but I've heard about it. Hopefully someone else here can say. I just joined it rq to see and there were 9 people in it, which seems like a lot for 3:30pm.

Defense used to average 50+ online a couple years ago but more recently has dropped to 20 online at peak hrs - That still makes it the 3rd most active "open" channel on any server behind Titan of Orien and Cannithtrade on Cannith.

The "Help" Channel on Sarlona averages similar numbers to Defense now and is on it's way up BUT it's not a Raid Channel - It's an advice and social Channel.

I would not call defense a 'raid' channel but it houses plenty of cool and interesting and nice people

It was originally created as a Raid Channel with the express design of teaching those new to Raids - In fact I'm surprised Gingerspyce was never in it before as he's known for doing just that on Sarlona!

If you want to get a Raid together on Sarlona you could certainly do worse than join Defense and post Raidname LFM up if anyone's interested?
Added to having the LFM up in the first place of course!



The Help Channel also has a number of vets in it who might want to join your Raid if you let them know it's up but it is first and foremost a newbie advice Channel!



Everyone on Sarlona should type /joinchannel Help
Every Vet on Sarlona should also type /joinchannel Defense.

There's 4 Userchat Channels so unless you're already in more than 2 Closed Channels there's nothing stopping from joining both of these Open Channels!

I have sent in a Facebook request,
And will hook into defense tonite.
