    Default Recovering SP lvl20+

Hey there. Not pretty sure if this have already been discussed, but anyway... I love playing with spellcasters (specially wizards), and I usually hire some Clerics with Divine Vitality to serve me as an extra SP pool. The problem is that I've just reached lvl20, and hirelings don't seem to have this thing anymore. I know that there are potions on DDO Store for this mean, but I wonder if is there a way of recovering SP on epic levels without spending Turbine Points - dollar in my country is a bit steep, so I prefer other ways lol

    Howdy,

Try mnemonic elixirs which are usually available in the Auction House for plat. No real money required. They also turn up in breakies, chests and sometimes end rewards.

There's a nice list on the wiki, possibly out of date (i.e., missing some items).

There's also nothing stopping you from continuing to use the low-level hires. DDoor back to the start, summon your DV hire, fill up, dismiss. You can resummon in five minutes if necessary.
I Cannith-craft (150 levels in all schools) for free on Thelanis if you provide all needed materials.

    OP,

I think you are asking the wrong question. What you should be asking is "How do I conserve my SP pool to use it with a maximum effect without running out?" Wizards are not sorcerers and are not intended to relentlessly mana dump until something is dead - that is why INT is the main stat. A wizard should be thinking about what they do.

While not comprehensive, here are some ideas off the top of my head (assuming you are pure Wizard):

    1) Have you maxed out your SP pool? Max int, augments and/or greensteele items? What about your Epic Destiny? A wizard should be able to get over 2000 SP easily.

    2) Shrine management - just what it says. Learn where the shrines are in quests. If spell points are an issue and you don't have to use a shrine (and it isn't use or lose) then pass it by. You should be able to go back and shrine up when you need to.

    3) Metamagics - are you using the meta feats all the time? You probably don't need to extend your long buffs or heighten/max/emp every spell.

    4) SLAa - From both your Enhancement tree and EDs, these can be very effective in managing SP because they cost next to nothing yet are just as effective as the actual spell.

    5) Concordant Opposition - make yourself a greensteel ConOpp item - mine are goggles. This site is a great help in planning.

    6) Epic Destiny - if you have access EDs such as Magister build your SP pool.

    7) Max your DCs and Spell Pen. If you have to constantly recast Finger of Death because it isn't landing, or drain a few levels first and then cast it then you are wasting SP. If your DCs aren't high enough to hit then that spell is essentially a waste.

you might not have it unlocked but Exalted Angel has 'endless faith' which on tier 3 lets magical training bring your depleted SP back to 30 instead of 12 (tier 3). It is a low level twist too.

Otherwise, just to add, look into using casting effeciency gear like Cannoneer's goggles that save 10% and try to spam SLAs with the metas (metas do not usually cost more on SLAs).

If you are still sttuggling look into splashes like FvS which has Just Rewards
