They don't wear socks, but actually something more akin to Malicia's outfit - though they're needlessly ashamed of it & cover it up with the robes.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

    Default Do mindflayers wear socks?

Not only do mindflayers wear socks, they wear slipper socks! On cold nights, they wear regular socks on their tentacles to keep warm.

Do mindflayers wear socks? Yes but not in a traditional sense. They only use socks for when their tentacles are getting cold.

Is this question a dare to lift up that long robe & check their feet? I will pass...Let's say that they wear socks for posterity & that their foot size is similar to their tentacle length (tentacle in the singular--a mindflayer running joke).

Nah. You would think that they hide those legs under the robe because they don't wear anything under the robe?
Just ask Fred, our Stormreach mayor. He thinks that hosiery would interfere with the diagnostic tentacle readings when
they try to read your character information.

Plus it would provide misinformation and extract data that was meant for brain cells; causing a core brain dump. In technical terms, a NULL POINTER DEREFENCE EXCEPTION.

No, but they could dress up and wear some knee-highs and some matching pantaloons.

    No - they inhibit performance.

Ristoff is the leader of the Orien guild Arcane Alliance. Above is our airship "AA Krimson Kraken" with all the buffs and amenities.
Send mail or a tell to Ristoff in-game and ask for an invitation. All players welcome!

Yes Mindflayers wear socks. Due to sucking out the brains of most adventurers they have become self conscious.

They were wearing multi-layered leather open-toe'ish appendage-socks, but sadly all the textures caused massive lag throughout DDO.

Wait, what do you mean they're still wearing them?

I'm going to go off on a limb (or a tentacle, in this case) and say "Maybe"
Just a random, forgettable NPC doing things an NPC does
Things that NPCs do include, but are not limited to:

Having a gold goblet over my head to indicate availability of a quest
Having a catchphrase that never really catches on
Having various rewards that are generally not worth the trouble
    Wandering around randomly
Giving out obvious information if it wasn't obvious enough
Repeating the same lines over and over again

Yes, it is common knowledge that they were Calvin-N-Hobbes and Joe Cool designer socks.
