    Default Issues launching through Steam, and the Launcher 02/04/2016

    I downloaded the launcher on the website first, I launched it through the shortcut on the desktop, and nothing happened except a loading icon next to my mouse. I figured there was an issue with the shortcut, so I launched it through the actual .exe file, and the same again, I retried both methods as administrator, which gave me the same results.

    I then downloaded the game on Steam, and when it was done I pressed play and nothing happens, just the loading icon once again. So I went into the folders and tried launching the .exe as admin again under the Steam directory and again nothing happened.

    I tried launching it with the task manager up to see if the proccess loaded, and it does, but only for 5 seconds or so then it disappears.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    What OS version? What direct x version, etc....

    I'm using Windows7, and DX11, If I had any crash reports, I'd post them, but it's doesn't get far enough to cause an error, it just shuts itself down.



    Update: I reinstalled the client onto a different drive, and re-installed DX11 and still the same "I'm working on it" circle, followed by nothing happening.

    Further update: I copied my brothers working install onto my own computer, which is using the same OS and DX, and the launcher still will not launch. I can't work out what the issue is, there are no error messages and no error reports have been generated.

    Further Update: I tried changing the runtime configs as was suggested in another post with a similar issue, but got nothing, I also reinstalled .net framework 4 and C++ 2005, and got nothing. I tried contacting customer support but only got an automated email. So if anyone has any other ideas about how to help please post them, I'm pretty disappointed that I can't play an arti with my friends because the launcher just won't do anything.

    Try disabling your anti-virus before you run the launcher and then see if it works.

    Thanks for the reply,

    I just tried launching the invoker and the launcher with my antivirus off, then with my firewall off, and then with both off and I still get nothing, I've seen that other people have had the same issue, but the solutions that were posted there haven't worked either.

    Default Issue has been resolved!

    The issue has been resolved, I had an old version of HappyCloud installed that was preventing me from loading my launcher.

    If you have an issue similar to what I did in my OP then be sure to check for HappyCloud.
