Game is SUPER dark.. but only in windowed?

Having a weird issue on a new-ish PC. Win10, RX6800, in both DX11 and 10 mode same thing happens.

In windowed mode with the gamma at 1.55 and brightness cranked up I can BARELY see the game at all and it's rather washed out..

Yet when I go into proper full screen it's 100% fine and looks perfectly normal. I'm guessing it's some Radeon/AMD type setting or something but I'm not super familiar with Radeon's software and settings.. Anyone else had this issue and have a fix offhand by chance? It's unplayably dark and cranking the gamma/brightness up that much makes it look really washed out and weird, but popping to fullscreen and it all looks perfectly like it always has.

No, it is most probably the game. For whatever reason you can't change the Gama settings etc. in Windowed Fullscreen. This was reported over and over for several years now. The players never got any feedback. So we don't know for sure what is causing it.

PS: For me it is only really bothering in the Underdark.

I saw folks talking about this via some google searching before I posted and, in this case, I don't believe it's the same issue.

I CAN adjust the gamma in Windowed Fullscreen.. it's just WAY way way darker than it should be. I have to crank gamma up to literally 2.55 to see *anything* at all even just at character select, basically.

Again, it's possible to adjust the gamma I just have to turn it to an absurd value to see anything - without adjusting the gamma AT ALL it looks perfect in full screen, super dark in full screen (windowed.) Gamma values do not change and yet it becomes astoundingly darker.

Thank goodness for reddit, sometimes.. This message 100% is the issue and resolved it 100% - it's an AMD driver problem with their "radeon image sharpening" setting - https://www.reddit.com/r/ddo/comment...eb2x&context=3

Oh alright. Then it is something different indeed. Cause it doesn't matter how I change the settings it always jumps back to the default.
