    Exclamation Still Getting Internal Error

My son has been trying since March 9th to resolve the "internal error-contact support" issue with no success. Sent in a ticket, but no response. How can you keep charging someone for game access when it doesn't work? He's tried all the suggestions we found, but nothing works. Please post something that WILL work.

right Click the 'hosts' file and open with notepad.
at the bottom you should see half a dozen ip's something like ... 74.x.x.x ddo.com
type a '#' in front of each line of those IP addresses.(The '#' changes the line to be a comment line instead of a command redirect)
so it will now look like... #74.x.x.x ddo.com
put that # in front of each line that looks like a DDO related line (they should all be together)

    Close the hosts file.
~if you get an error while trying to save, then you may need to open wordpad as the administrator then manually open the 'hosts' file from within notepad.

that should resolve the internal error issue.
    Have you tried this?
DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.

Updating the Hosts file should resolve the issue.
Let us know how it goes.

Just in case, we have a guide on this in the kb here if you run into any issues with the steps above it might help.

    Default ip address

Have you tried to ping any of the servers

    name old ip Current IP
    patch.ddo.com 74.201.102.11 198.252.160.31
    patch-lm.ddo.com 74.201.102.11 198.252.160.35
    gls.ddo.com 74.201.102.13 198.252.160.23
    gls-auth.ddo.com 74.201.102.13 198.252.160.23
    gls-lm.ddo.com 74.201.102.13
    gls-auth-lm.ddo.com 74.201.102.13 not found
    forums.ddo.com 74.201.102.42 74.201.103.121 may change soon
    www.ddo.com 74.201.102.42 74.201.103.121 may change soon

If your ping does not resolve to the new addresses the issue is in host files more then likely, check all files in the System32/drivers/etc directory for any addition information that my look like it belongs to DDO. You may also want to do an ipconfig /flushdns from a command prompt may help.
