Has anyone else noticed/bug reported this? I couldn't find any threads referencing it.
I noticed while questing this evening that the elemental damage I was dealing with my repeaters looked low. Sure enough, lootgen ranged weapons (tested x-bows and regular bows) are only applying 1d6 elemental damage regardless of the amount in their description. I have tested the following on my lvl. 14 artie:
New lootgen weapons -
heavy repeater (3d6 poison)
light repeater (3d6 good)
heavy x-bow (3d6 electrical)
great x-bow (3d6 electric)
On another character, I have tested
longbow (3d6 good)
shortbow (3d6 evil)
Silver Longbow (2d6 good) (also obviously not new lootgen)
Of these, only the Silver Longbow yields elemental damage outside of the 1-6 range. On the other hand, a greatsword with 3d6 poison produced exactly what I expected - poison damage in the 3-18 range. In all cases I checked to make sure the damage wasn't reduced by elemental resistance; I saw orange damage numbers across the board.
I could understand if on-hit elemental damage was reduced for ranged weapons (especially repeaters), though it would make me sad. However, the descriptions clearly state 3d6 as the elemental damage amounts. Clearly either the amounts dealt or the amounts described should be changed.
