is manyshot worth using?

Im layoing out the specs for my repeater build and it will have ranger in it, enough that id say id get the manyshot for free. So im choosing my ticket weapons and with the changes I wonder.. is it even worth switching away from the needle to a pinion for manyshot?

The guy will max int of course and then jam con in there, but after that I figured throw the extra's in dex as id have improved evasion with the rog lvs anyway. So to pinion or not to pinion? Without it I figured id juat take 10 coms to get the needle going.
