Default High Lords will host "Death to Suulomades" teaching raid extravaganza on Sat, March 6

Last week's teaching raid was a double feature in House Cannith with Master Artificer and Lord of Blades. We had a great turnout and a great time. You can read about it HERE!

This week we have an all new arrangement in our teaching raid series, a triple hitter with our "Death to Suulomades" extravaganza! First we will delve into the Subterrane and kick his butt back to Shavarath in Vision of Destruction. Then we will follow him to Shavarath and pummel him again in Tower of Despair. And finally we will go back in time and defeat his forces once and for all in epic Chronoscope!

[edit:] The event will begin at 9pm EST on Saturday, March 5th.

All events in this series are for players new(er) to the raiding scene or players that are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Dbags not welcome. Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids and to enhance the Sarlona community. There is no level cap for any of our teaching raids.

If you are new to VOD and Chronoscope, there is no flagging required! You will need to have access to the Vale of Twilight and Devil Assault adventure packs. VOD is located in the Subterrane and is confusing to find for many players. We will start from the market and show you how to get to and open the way to the raid.

If you are new to TOD, you will need to be flagged by running 4 quests in Amrath: Genesis Point, Sins of Attrition, A New Invasion and Bastion of Power. You will need access to The Devils of Shavarath adventure pack.

New players may find some of my videos helpful for flagging:
    · Devil Battlefield - A Tour of all Explorers, Rares and Quest Entrances
    · Solo Elite Sins of Attrition
    · How to Solo Elite Genesis Point
    · Solo Elite Bastion of Power
    · How to Solo the New Invasion End Fight

You will also want to acquire Boots of Anchoring prior to the raid. Boots of Anchoring prevent you from being banished out of the plane of Shavarath and out of the raid. The final boss Horoth can cast Banishment, and if you don't have some way to absorb spells, you will be teleported out of the raid faster than you can say "why am I suddenly in the marketplace?" If you get banished, you will not be able to re-enter the raid and get loot. You can acquire Boots of Anchoring by trading 1 each of the following ingredients Devil's Keepsake, Pure Shavarath Iron, Demon's Blood and Mysterious Artifact to the Planescaller Liella d'Orien in Amrath. If you cannot acquire Boots of Anchoring before the raid, we have some leftover ingredients that were donated from a previous teaching raid.

Space is limited so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please contact me in game on Gingerspyce.

Thanks for all the support and special thanks to DDOCast and DDO Chronicle for mentioning our events. We hope to see you in raids soon!

    Much love,
Gingerspyce and The High Lords of Malkier

Count me in again please (Davinya), I will figure out my boots of anchoring tonightish after I agonize over what to get with my golden ticket.

Edit, actually, as I have run Devil Assault about 25 ish times now, I probably have the ingredients, but I don't recall having done the flagging quests.

I did run a junior chronoscope a couple of years ago. I presume we will do epic. I've never done TOD or Vision of Despair.

Perfect timing Ginger! Just flagged ToD tonight. Count me and Whisperer (aka Kury) in.

Edit: Actually have two flags to go, so we'll LFM those to help others flag. It's the two PITA quest. The devil in the trappy pit one and the Merilith one. Don't pay attention to quest names, haha.

    Default Another great turnout!

    Suulomades is dead!

Haha, what a fun night of raids with 7 people signed up! It was the first time we ever hosted 3 teaching raids in one night and so far this year is shaping up to be the best attendance ever for our teaching raids! We saw a lot of returning faces tonight and one newcomer to our teaching raids. Most of tonight's attendees had never done Vision of Destruction or Tower of Despair and while everyone had done Chronoscope at least once or twice, several had never done it on epic!

Thanks for coming e1 and big thanks to my guildies for helping to make things a smooth and fun run and to Lighthardtt of Bridge Burners for helping out too!

Next week will be epic Vault of Night so get flagged!

I don't think he's dead, he does have a nasty headache and is spending the next century or two removing all the arrows from his buttocks, poor guy is a back sleeper after all.

Thanks for letting me tag along, I did learn a few things during the session.

For anyone who is apprehensive about joining Ginger's High Lords training runs, do it. Ginger is a very experienced, and more importantly, patient teacher. You will have a blast.

We'd have to kill him on his home plane, which DDO may eventually get to since a tred level 30 character is basically approaching god status, so one day we may get to invade the hells. I don't know if Wizards is involved in this at all because recently Asmodeus ended the Blood War, at least temporarily and it's all problematic from a lore perspective. I am not sure there's a secure way to get to the Abyss anymore since I don't really follow it too closely.

Notice to all players who think they aren't good enough to take one of Ginger's teaching raids: Everyone should try something new, all parts of the raids are explained very well and it's tons of fun! If you need any help leveling up or flagging for a raid let Dorthea,Pummell or Micarra(Mystique Guardians) know and we will help all we can. Also have gear if needed. Don't sit on the sidelines and miss out having a great time! Thanks again to Ginger and his guild for all the help given to me in the teaching raids I have done. You do a great job and it's very much appreciated. Dorthea
