Oh, has it been 10 years? Cool! Happy Birthday!

Wish I had as much time to play as I did in 2006. *shakes fist at RL*

    yay happy birthday!
may all our wishes come true and may we all have a good time together!

look how far you've come DDO! remember when levelcap was low and sorrowdusk isle was the-content-to-beat ?
remember the time you've got a new starter area? or a harbor rearangement?
remember the time we went into epic levels with menance of the underdark? and the 2nd expansion?
remember the introduction of house C, the awesome house C themed raids and the challenges?
or the introduction of the bravery bonus, what made us run a wider variety of quests instead of grinding only a few xp-efficient ones?
and the 2 classic dungeons? or the one and only interrogating quest in the game "a study in sable"?

we went from ebberon to forgotten realms, we visited shavarath, underwater palaces, transported into the past, helped stopping a prophecy and someone to become a god or even defeated a god
went through the underdark, the demon web, the vast kings forest and all the other great outdoor areas.
we've slain countless undead, shahaguain (still can't spell this after all this years ), evil-doers, andwhatnot.
we discovered great storylines, rare loot and fluffy sidequests.

the list goes on and on.

you've come a long way for sure. and i like it. you made it! Thank you dev's and staff of turbine, for making this game and constantly improving the gaming experience!
i hope there is just as much to come as we have seen!

I have a toon from 2007 on G-Land that has all the "gifts" we've gotten. I added the extra cropped screenshot of the 5th year invitation to the 6th year cake w/ Djinni for those that weren't around then.

Interesting. Every active event happening all at the same time.

(sanity check- are the Halloween event(s) of Mabar and whatever came after Mabar gone forever or are they just waiting in the shadows to return later this year?)

    Thumbs up

Happy Anniversary again, I remember 9 years ago buying my first non-cobbled-together-PC and my buddy telling me to try this game "DDO" "it will help with your wanting to play P&P" and now wow many years later I have nearly managed to keep current with all the new goodies over the years, thank you very much for so many good times, so many good friends found, and the best place on earth to go slaughter Dragons.....

Do raids other than VoN even give XP?

    Question confirm?

On June 9, 2009, the official D&D Online website announced that Dungeons & Dragons Online would convert to a subscriptionless "free to play" game for players in North America, under the new name Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited. The level cap would be increased to level 20 and free users would have access to the majority of game content; some features would have to be purchased with Turbine points or unlocked through play. There would be VIP access with additional features available, as well as free Turbine points. Closed beta registration opened on June 9, 2009. The game and contents were free to download on September 1 for VIP members and September 9 for the general North American public

I got this from wikipedia but I don't think it's right.

The official date was definitely 9/9/9 (September 9th, 2009). It's memorable!
