Default An Idea for WF Healers

Lord of Blades hates/despises all fleshies, so...

Why not change the auto-slot-heals on WF clerics to, and add to the divine spell list, repair spells for WF worshipping LoB? A WF healer that worships LoB, would naturally use repair spells, as they extremely dislike fleshies, but maybe not hate, they wouldn't carry 'cures' any more than most fleshy healers carry repairs. These would be divine spells, making them susceptible to quells, but also able to be cast in armor naturally, which makes sense as WF often have mithril or adamantine, and LoB wouldn't change that, right?

So is dispel magic... Fail to see your point. There are many spells that cross over. And a couple that are just renamed, basically. Amaunator's brilliance and Bladesworn Transformation are basically just fire shield and tensor's (respectively)... So, no, saying that repairs are arcane makes no difference, we have plenty of precedence to say that doesn't matter.

My point is no they shouldn't get it peroid. And in d&d dispel is arcane/divine and the precedence (pnp ) says you are wrong

Man, such a shame no domain list exists that shows you to be completely wrong again... Oh, wait! The Warforged Domain! Repair Light, Repair Critical, Total Repair (same effect as reconstruct)! Glad you brought up "precedence (pnp )"... So, yeah, any other objections? The precedence exists in both DDO to give arcane spells/equivalents to divines (check out Divine Disciple even!), and in PNP (several domains, most obviously the Magic/Spell type domains, or the elemental ones like fire), AND the precedence exists for a domain all about repair spells (warforged domain, 'Faiths of Eberron' page 150: Lord of Blades included as having it)...

With the way they handled the different pacts for warlock, it should be easier to implement domains with a divine pass, so there's definitely scope for it.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

The best way to fix this is the Domain path.

Domains have been a way to expand the Cleric Spell list beyond the divine spell list.

Yeah, Domains for divine casters could be really awesome.

Messing around with the code to check for combinations of Warforged/Bladeforged/Cleric/Paladin/Ranger/FvS and then messing around with the class spells seems like a good way to introduce exciting new bugs to the game.

It doesnt belong so give it up 10+ uears of DDO back me up and besides they are forged why would care about weak fleshies and nobody needs a healer anymore(sad but true)

You don't want it simply because I proved you were wrong. Stop being prideful. You were wrong, it happens to the best of us. Besides, just because no one uses healers around YOU doesn't mean they aren't used. I've seen plenty lately, granted less than most types, but, have seen at least 1 in 20. As for adding domains, just make sure to ignore the one made especially for Eberron, in a game that focuses about 65-75% on Eberron? Really?

I'm fairly certain you're the only one that thinks so. I showed it has precedence in DDO, in PNP, and that the source material even exists already. All you have done is continue to just say, 'Nuh-uh!'

You showed no precedence in DDO and after 10 years it's proof it's not likely nor should it happen

Yeah, I did. Domains are in DDO in the form of extra abilities granted by deity. LoB grants Bladesworn Transformation (basically just Tensor's with a different name), Amaunator gives Amaunator's Brilliance (basically just fire shield with a different name). Both are Arcane spells, added to divines based on deity, which is exactly what I am saying to do with Repair Spells. If you require more than that, then you are asking for more than the PNP version did, and THEY even added repair spells for divines. So, if you need more than that, then you are simply being an obstinate troll, unwilling to accept even the most thorough and backed up suggestion merely on the basis of your personal pride over having been proven wrong. Just because you refuse the proof, doesn't make it stop existing.

As an addendum, Bladeforged gets repair & mass repair spells added to the paladin spell list - it's a bit of a faff behind the scenes since they're flagged as on the list by the presence of bladeforged-specific racial feats at 1st level, but there's both precedent & tech there to have them at least added to the spell lists in response to the presence of a feat, or even an enhancement since existing cleric enhancements let spells be added to the spell list, though admittedly that has a coding side-effect of making that spell usable on scrolls & wands as a class one whether or not you have the enhancement (see Blur, for an easy example).

I suspect the way to do it would be to do away with that auto-filled slot on the spell list then have the spells granted in the feats window instead in the same way as epic spells are handled. If you're a non-LoB follower you haven't lost anything, they're just in a different place - and if you're a LoB follower those spells are repair spells instead but have an additional effect on the feat which means the appropriate level healing spell is added to your spell list & able to be put into a spell slot or not as you prefer.

Oh, and having domain spells be added through feats in the same way would, I think, also bypass the issue above of being able to use spells without the proper qualifying condition.
