    Default Which Life next?

OK so Molineux started out as a Warforged Bard and will eventually end up as a Warforged Bard again sometime in the 2020s but first I'm aiming for Completionist.

He will remain WF or Bladeforged throughout {I may get around to the other Iconics at some point in the future but not pre completionist.}.

    2nd Life - Sorc
    3rd Life - FavSoul
    4th Life - Bladeforged Paladin
    5th Life - Druid
    6th Life - ?

I don't really want to go all the way to 30 so more Bladeforged can wait.

I was thinking Greatsword Cleric {He has a SoS - Still looking for Shard}, EK Wizard or perhaps Barb next {Save Warlock and Fighter for the other 2 Bladeforged lives}.

Tomes all +3 except Con +2

    Destinies all Tier 5 except Shiradi {4}, EA {3} and Fury {0}

    Build ideas appreciated.

I think the EK Wizard is a good choice based on your final build goal. Additionally, what it will unlock will be beneficial to a Cleric Build for a following life.

Much as I expected - I'm really not good at building or playing Wizards though so would really like a Build before TRing him out of this horrid Bear Druid life.

Please not Bladeforged - I can't bare the thought of having to take him to 30 as a Wizard!

For Completionist, it ~can~ (ymmv) be helpful not to think of "the next TR", but "all TR's to follow" - what will help them all, or most of them? What can you get now that will have legs through ALL remaining TR's?

Or, thinking of it the other way - what past-life Feat is so narrow that it helps (almost?) nothing else? If you do those last, then you get more help out of the others.

    2nd Life - Sorc
    3rd Life - FavSoul
    4th Life - Bladeforged Paladin
    5th Life - Druid
    With those,

    • Pali - +5% (+10?) Healing Amp - nice for ~any~ alt.
    • Fav Soul - +1 spell pen, nice for any caster, & +20 spell points, solid jumpstart to any lowbie caster.
    • Sorc - +1 DC Evocation (zap), & +20 spell pts.
    • Druid - +2 to abilties of summoned, hirelings, charmed. Could be good or meaningless, depending.

So you've got a solid platform for anything that could fall into the "Caster" category, and esp lower-starting-SP casters (Ranger, Bard) - nice!

Remaining casters are Arti, Wiz and Warlock. That leaves most of your core "combat" types (Ftr, Barb, Rgr, Rog, Monk), and Cleric and Bard which (along w/ some others) could fall into either camp.

    • Fighter is +2 to Hit - no one but pure casters ever spit at that. #1 before anything else.
    • Monk - +1 to damage. Maybe #2 before any other melee toon.
    • Barb is +10 HP - helpful to all at low levels (esp casters!), a drop in the bucket at end game.
    • Ranger helps only ranged attack (+2), and lowbie Energy damage reduction. Meh again, unless you're looking at a lot of ranged in these others.
    • Rogue only gives +Sneak Attack and +2 ST v. traps - I'd save for late (unless you run without trappers a lot).

    • Bard +1 song helps (almost?) nothing else, and +1 ST to two types of spells... (maybe last?)

    • Cleric - +1 Conjuration DC - bam. Before Wizard?
    • Wiz - +2 Spell Pen - helps end-game, imo this should have been one of your first, for all casters to follow.
    • Warlock, Arti - no personal feel for them, but I'd say Arti (+1 skills) before Rogue, and Warlock (+3 Mag Resist) very late (unless going Drow MR concept?).

The Casters (except Arti?) help the "fighters" almost not at all, but the Fighter-types ~can~ help casters (some).

If you want to speed this up, there is the concept of a "HTR template" - a repeated core mix that you then glom your desired TR class on the back end of. You can HTR a 6/7/7X IF the X is "dominant" over the other "7" class, and a 6/6/8X regardless. One set of core gear (that just keeps getting better?), one core playstyle colored with a diff boost (or challenge) every pass. (Also nice if you're distinctly not looking forward to a certain class - at least it won't be pure torture, literally or figuratively.)

(For those unfamiliar w/ how this works, it's based on this:

Decided to get Barb out of the way.

Still looking for a WF Greatsword EK Build though for the life after.
