    Default Across servers LFM panel.

Instead merging servers, let's create LFM panel that will work through all servers. People from all servers could join groups, created by players from different server. When entering quest, new instance is created, and characters from each server would be teleported to that new instance to play together.

    Much easier then merging servers.

What do You guys think about this?

ps. I'm not a IT guy, so I'm not sure if this is possible (from the tech side), but wanted to share mu idea.. maybe something can be done in that field.

The only way that could possibly be done would require them to do a massive server merger. They'd have to merge all the servers into 1 large server. There's no other logical way to do it, and certainly not with the limited resources they currently have.

And said super-server would be a complete lag fest.

DDO technology is not built for large ( new instances forks at 50ish people in an instance... if should tell a bit about the server capacity ).

And each server is independent from the other one both in front end and in back end ( otherwise server transfers would be a joke to perform and automatize ).

Not to mention what'll happen if multiple people have the same NAME . . .

No. There just flat out isn't ANY architecture that'd allow for multi-server instances like this. Might as well just ask them to create DDO2 instead, it'd be roughly the same amount of work.
