Congratulations on being a D.
Also congratulations for not paying attention to the fact that we will indeed have content, just that we have no idea what it is going to be:
And more congratulations for telling me that I should care about Gnomes, which I won't.
Congratulations tho! Feel free to send more congratulations in a PM, bro.
DDO is seriously lacking the quality content. The last update didn't help much, the next doesn't seem any good in this regard either. The focus is way too heavy on 'balancing' the existing classes and making the new races/classes that in fact are very similar to what we have. It doesn't really bring anything new or exciting to the game. Finding a replacement game for the large gaps in between the updates seems like a logic step to me as I am not interested to run the same content for the gazillionth time on a slightly different build when there is no carrot to hunt either.
Pot. Kettle. Notice the distinct lack of *new* anything of substance to run? As much as I enjoy the flagging quests for legendary Shroud, it's a lot of recycling. When you run a level 30+ quest and say "hey, this looks and feels just like Water Works" there's a problem.
Good gravy, they could do so much with the Sschyndylryn. There's room for half a dozen story arcs and dozens of quests down there and it is amazing artwork to boot. Stormhorns, King's Forest, Ataraxia, Searing Heights, the houses... They all have plenty of room for more and we get Children of the Corn halflings.
There is so very much potential for new content sitting in prod untapped right now and you're happy we have another silly looking race with similar capabilities to ones we already have?

Now I fixed it, quoted for truth An unintentional omission, I'm sure.
I'd love to see some epic explorers given a legendary mode which scales 1-12, with some raid-in-a-box walkups scattered about. Give them Legendary Rune Fragments as chest rewards, equating to maybe 10:1 for a full Legendary Rune of some flavour. Give them a 24 hr timer and no bypass option.
These wouldn't have to be particularly clever. Off the top of my head: enter a large cavern and discover some drow trying to subdue a purple worm to use in an attack eveningstar. They aren't trying to hurt it, they're just restraining it, but they have guards that will keep spawning at intervals till you deal with the drow manning the siege harpoons, whilst avoiding the worms occasional knockdowns/tail swipes. Once drow dealt with, deal with now free but completely berserk worm. If that's too hard, just have us encounter a worm in its lair with it's wormling swarm.
Well I think that sort of thing would be awesome. YMMV, obviously.
