    Default Feat Considerations...

    Hey Folks,

I am planning on doing a LR for my main False and wanted to run down feat selections before getting too far ahead. Plainly said I wish I had more feats and some pre reqs make some choices for me. Anyway here's what I have so far. Feedback welcome.

This is for a pure, human FvS.

    Heroic Feats

    h) SF: Evo
    1) Maximize
    3) Completionist
    6) PL: Wiz
    9) Empower
    12) Heighten
    15) Quicken
    18) Toughness

    Epic Feats

    21) Epic Toughness
    24) Master of Light
    27) Ruin
    30) Intensify Spell

    ED Feats

    26) SP: Force
    28) SP: Light
    29) Arcane Pulse

    Legendary Feat

    30) Scion of Air

Other choices I wish I had room for would be:

    Master of Alignment
    Greater Ruin
    Embolden Spell
    Hellball

What do folks think of the layout so far?

Personally, I'd make some room by dumping the Toughness stuff. More hit points are nice, but the payoff isn't enough for eating up two of your precious feat slots, when there's good stuff you can't otherwise fit.

I can't really argue with anything else on there; looks like a decent list.

Embolden and Master of Knowledge are Lvl 24 Feats.
    False has taken Master of Light at Lvl 24 {another Feat that can't be taken any earlier}
False is taking Epic Toughness at 21 - Losing Epic Toughness wouldn't help him gain Embolden or Master of Knowledge.

Of the four Feats False wants none are Heroic so losing Toughness doesn't help the OP either!

on topic: feats are imho bit dependant on your destiny of choice. Since you are completionist assuming you can chose pretty freely in destinies there, too. that being said, while your SLAs are few, avenging light, divine wrath, sun bolt make taking intensify atop of emp/max worthwhile. If you might run in destinies with yet less SLA availability thats a potentail choice for something else just like toughness imho ...

I agree toughness/epic toughness arent needed necessarily ... it can be geared around and mitigation is more worthwhile than HP anyways

mental toughness, imp/ epic, gives you a total of +3 spell crits, too, but yeah its hard to fit in.
another serious contender is greater ruin.
hellball kinda works ok too due to fvs having decent universal spellpower but falls short compared to ruin/pulse, imho

it rly depends on how you wanna play, a lot. its bit of a flavor choice rly imho. arcane pulse and at least normal ruin is what id consider must have in epic ...

also, since as completionist you should be able to hit good DCs, i would give some serious thought to scion celestia or scion fire over scion air, for the added crit dmg. unless you consider the added dodge must have, idk ...

Epic Toughness was taken more for something to take at level 21, due to the pre-reqs of the other feats I want being higher level. That said, perhaps there is another choice for level 21 feat, but it is definitely more limited choices.

Pretty much my dilemma in a nutshell...

    Aww I missed the edit

re: Toughness, again the ML of other feat options made it a limited choice :/

Greater Ruin and Embolden are on the list. But Basically it's:

    Ruin
    Greater Ruin
    Intensify
    Embolden
    Master of Light
    Master of Alignment

And I get to pick three...

Thanks everyone for their feedback so far!

i would say, its a question what your wanting to do primaly
1.) DC casting : then i would probaly exchange Toughness + Epic Toughness for gSF : evocation + Arcane Insight
2.) anything else swap toughness + epic toughness to get mental toughness + Wellspring of Power, maybe even go so far to remove sf: evocation to get 2 of the mental toughness line

as the 2nd ED pick i would take Hellball or Mass Frog instead of SPP: Force
