Suggestions for new Risia recipes

Time to bump this old thread. Risia ice games are soonish--30-45 days away. Still time to make it better. Any new thoughts? I saw a thread post in which someone liked the reindeer cosmetic on the winter wolves.

Also, is this stuff going to function with the new Cannith Crafting?

Good question. Reading over your thread, my mind stuck to the Yeti suggestion. That should actually be possible if they used either the ogre or the troll frame as a base and created a newer, flatter face and covered the body in white fur. Ta-da! Yeti. Are they a Monstrous Humanoid or a Lesser Giant? Of course the big question: will they have bare bottoms like Richard Moll's Yeti in Caveman? (Yes, I have absolutely dreadful taste in comedies... and I'm proud of it.)

I'm wondering if the new Risia/Festival changes will be similar to what they did for Revels, with the addition of cosmetics and other items for barter? I still like your initial suggestions & some of the follow-up ideas as well.

I am thinking that epics should have better Risia crafting on lootgen. We have a natural progression of Cold Touch-->Frost-->Icy Burst-->Freezing Gale-->Greater Freezing Gale (see wiki for Elemental Area of Effect)

Another thematic addition is Freezing Ice like from Frozen Tunic, which could be really compelling if it is to be added only on armors
This would be Minor Freezing Ice (for lootgen heroic armors below level 16); Freezing Ice (16-19); Epic Freezing Ice (20+). Also, Freezing Ice Guard (for Shields or Armors)

I REALLY think that putting the stacking spellpower on the augments is a bad idea.

For instance, let's take a three-slot weapon... and put the maximum glaciation on it...

I understand the reasoning behind it, but Augments IMO have always been supposed to be un-upgradable, simple trinkets that are used to upgrade gear, but not able to be upgraded themselves.

How about if, during each festival, they allowed us to earn a permanent hireling like the Owlbear or Panther?

For the Winter Festival they could allow us to earn a Frigyad--the female spirit of a frozen river. (I totally just made that up.)

For the cosmetic armor, you know how there's the light armor that looks like an owlbear pelt? What about one that looks like a winter wolf pelt? Another possiblity could be a winter wolf head as a cosmetic helmet. And from the just-for-fun files, why not have the antlers and red nose that the winter wolves get, but as our own cosmetic helmet?

edit: also, since folks apparently cant be bothered to 24 and 28 cannith challenge items, at least put a 24 and 28 frozen tunic in the festival? that would make some people happy with what probably is not too much work (code the altar to take in a ML 20 tunic, code in an upgrade progression for 1 item ...)


edit2: create new festival item: ice themed lantern ring thing: ice spell power, ice lore, proc ice damage with spellcast, scaling with spellpower

that was intentional--she made that in the Christmas season!
I prefer it to that ugly ice robe thing, or that beetle-night revels cosmetic, but to each his or her own.

I seem to remember that they appear in the Vale of Twilight, pretty easy to get a screenshot--let me know if needed still!

OK, so this is my version of a Silver Dragon Hide:

So I used Blue Dragon scale as the base item, but recolored it Silver because blue dragons of course are electricity based and white/silver dragons are cold based. The edging was gold, I shifted that to a cool blue. I added some fur bits in the boots, gauntlets and collar. I will refrain from comment on the alignment issues of wearing Silver Dragon skin.

As always I will re-post this to my Cosmetics Thread.
