Looking for a Sorcerer Eldritch Knight build

Hey there.

Some background, I am looking for this for a Heroic life only. Once the toon hits 2 she's headed back to the grist mill. Having said that I have 2 Sorc and 3 Wizard lived carved and am looking for a change of pace.

What I am wondering is if anyone has an Eldritch knight Sorc build that manages Epics. Currently the toon is 3rd level and fire specced but that can change super easily.

I would prefer a sword n board type build for flavour and I am using Drow for Race.

So any builds / pointers gratefully accepted.

I saw somebody running a EK Sorc as a swashbuckler pretty effectively, which would be the best sword-and-board EK damage.

If you want evasion and traps, I'd go 15 Sorc / 3 Bard / 2 Rogue (or 13/5/2 if you don't like the EK T5). For Stalwart Defense, 14 Sorc / 3 Fighter / 3 Bard. I'm slightly biased, but I'd tend to run DC over LD for a build with this much mana (and since you could get decent spellpower, your Consecration wouldn't be half bad aoe damage / heals). Either PDK for tactical boosts via Cormyrean Knight Training or Warforged for repair spells.

If you'd like me to write up a more complete build, I'd be happy to, though I'm no unbongwah

I have a wiz 15 / bard 3 / rog 2 build which can be adapted to sorc, but it's less effective since INT becomes your to-hit, dmg, DC, and Reflex stat on a wiz. I suppose it work okay on a PDK using short swords, but I've never planned it out.

Given I don't have an LR on this toon and I am not spending TP on it I think I will go with a bard sorc splash. I can get CHA to damage there and go air sorc and pump up the resonance damage. Not too sure if there's all that much in the EK tree though that I would hunt hard. Does anyone know of the arcane spell failure reductions from Drow and EK stack? It might be worth it to try and get into medium for sure maybe heavy if I can keep it down.

I expect this life will be kinda gimp though the stat distribution on my toon simply wasn't planned for a melee build ... might have to abandon the idea all together but then I need to play another toon in the stable for a while. 6 caster lives (and I do a past life in 2-6 months slow) means I have been playing a caster for over 2 years now and I am definitely "over" it.

Yes.

It might be worth it to try and get into medium for sure maybe heavy if I can keep it down.

Swashbuckling restricts you to lt armor.

12 Sorc/ 6 Bard/ 2 Rogue worked swimmingly for me.

I would totally post the build, but I can't get the character planned to work on my Mac, so if you have questions just hit me up. (even though the peeps above me kinda summed a lot of it up)

The main points would be to go earth savant, grab the freeze-y stuff from warchanter, go swashy to skirmisher (then use a buckler and a short sword, or a khopesh if you don't care about low blow), swf line, shield mastery line, CHA specced (can grab DEX to hit, CHA to dmg).
