I'm sorry but I got 10-15 mins in and couldn't take any more!

We are getting two different types of Gnomes in Update 30!

Basic Gnome = Fine, +2 Int, Illusionist, No probs!

Svirfneblin are a +Wis Race

Even if they weren't though - Why would you want the Iconic to be exactly the same as the base?

Basic {Let's say Zilargo as it's Eberron rather than Rock Gnomes} should have their Racial Tree worked around Illusions and Artifice {with +Int and DCs}.
Svirfneblin also have those abilities but:
1) It's much less pronounced and as Divines don't really have any DC Illusion Spells they won't need DC bonuses or +Int!
and
2) They will need some +Wis in their Racial Tree and Bonuses to Conjuration {They Summon Earth Eles!}.
I have no problems with both getting Blur and Invis as SLAs!


P.S. The whole Gnomes are OCD Artificers is wholly Dragonlance in origin - In no other World pre Eberron were they like that!
That is a Tinker Gnome thing!
I know DDO Halflings may as well be Kender {they're not Hairfeet or Stouts for certain!} but I dont' believe Turbine has the rights to Dragonlance so Tinkers may = trouble.


TWO Gnome Subraces are +Wis {Svirfneblin AND Forest Gnomes!} - NO OTHER BASIC RACE IN PNP HAS A +WIS SUBRACE!
As +Wis is the one thing missing from DDO to NOT make Svirfneblin +Wis AND give them a Divine Base Class {Cleric or Druid beats FavSoul for me} would be a real kick in the teeth!
