If you talk to the Cargo Hold Navigator, Artlebart, and ask him to send you to a place you have not been he will refuse to send you. If you have the Farshifter's Chambers (Guild Level 11 amenity) you can talk to the Captain and tell him you want the Farshifter to take you somewhere else and you can go to any location listed without having been there before.

Beginner tips:

Take out champions, casters and enemy healers quickly (but not in a suicidal way)
Canines can trip you - Balance is a good skill to have
Learn how to deal with traps. People love having a trapper on board.
Build up a collection of potions to use when necessary: Cure potions, Neutralize Poison, Remove Disease, Remove Curse and remove blindness are all great
Get a fortification item early and upgrade to the best type you can find and keep upgrading it
Deathblock items stop instant kill spells. You’ll need them from about level 8
Learn from experienced players
