In-Game Bug Reporting Tool

Hey folks!

We've been seeing a number of folks report that they're unable to use the in-game bug reporting tool lately. At the same time, we are still getting bug reports and it seems unlikely that every single bug report we get is entered externally. As such, I would like to try to figure out what is going on!

If you are one of the folks that are unable to enter bugs using the in-game tool, please post in this thread with exactly what you are seeing when you try to use the tool.

it seems to be working just fine for me - just sent a test bug through.

That brings up a good point!

If you're going to submit a test bug report through in-game to help out, go ahead and mark your server as Mournlands. This will help us sort the test reports as opposed to the normal reports that are coming in.

I had the opportunity to make a bug report recently; and had great difficulty in doing so. I found that all of the "buttons" were actually located some distance above their visible placement on the screen.

Once I determined the location of the "hit box", I ceased to have issues.

There are far too many fields on the in-game form to fill in. I AM LOGGED IN TO THE GAME ALREADY AND THESE SHOULD BE AUTO FILLED IN
Account, Server, Character Class1, Level1, Class2, Level2, Class3, Level3, Epic Level, Destiny. etcetera.

I've been playing since 12/12/2012. The in-game bug reporting tool has never worked for me and have tried many times. I've only been able to submit externally. It's a hassle to stop play and go external, and I don't bother anymore trying the in-game stuff. I'm premium and spend $ often. Never been VIP.

I tend to keep playing and not sweat the bugs anymore. Sometimes I will bring attention to them on the mother forums.

Not to derail, but also have never been able to get charecter copy to work with Lamania, not sure if any relation. No offense, but I know I can level up there, etc. When I get home from work I don't want to do that. I just want to play. If I can't transplant current Sarlona Livmo to Lamania and just play and test stuff, that is a deal breaker for me. Also, if I want to test, I want to test on exactly what I'm currently running and not replicate it and/or spend the time doing that at L1 on Lama. I've only been able to get into Lama at L1.

Garnish, and again to not derail. I just created a bunch of new accounts and when using the create game/usenrname in the lanucher I get and web certificate error and have to make and exception to trust where I'm going and check that I understand the risks. Might scare off some new folks.

It works fine of me, had a issue a couple nights ago on argo. Went through and got fixed quickly.

I submitted a report about 2 weeks ago, and most of these fields had auto-filled for me.

Looks like another angle to check - inconsistent communication between the reporting tool and character info?

Yes please! And there should also be a way to skip all that when it's not character-specific (such as, for example, the bug I recently submitted regarding not being able to try on cosmetics from the DDO store - I can't imagine that human female bard, human male bard, human male warlock, half-orc male druid, elf female FvS, WF male arti, PDK female fighter/pally... all have something race/class related affecting this...)

It was such a pain filling out the bug report because it kept losing focus while I was filling out all the extraneous info that really wasn't needed, especially the stuff I needed to actually type (account, character name, etc.... not to mention my actual report, by which time I was already seriously peeved.)

Most of the questions were auto-filled... there is no epic lvl above 28 (that I could see but I'm 28)


BUT when I write in the window I constantly get kick out of it (when I use space bar, shift or enter), which makes me jump or run around (and fall off the guildship !!!)or opens all shortcut windows on the screen.

Not sure is this is the right place to raise this, but I've experienced the mysterious disappearing epic destiny issue upon ETR and created a ticket nearly three hours ago. Had no response either in-game or via an email confo; I've never actually raised a ticket before, so is this sort of lack of response usual or perhaps symptomatic of a larger issue? FWIW I can see that a ticket ID# has been issued....

Just to confirm for the devs that I created a couple of in-game Bug Reports 1-2 weeks ago and everything worked just fine. Most info pre-filled, etc.

Wow, the bug reporting tool actually worked for me.

I have not submitted a bug since probably 2008, which was around the time of me first encountering a problem with the bug reporting tool.

Hey there! Not sure if the in-game bug reporting tool is working correctly or not. The quest Slavers of the Shrieking Mines has had the 2nd Beholder missing in the quest since it has been out. I know it's been bug reported numerous times over these few 8(?) years. Could we either get that beholder put into the quest or maybe you all just remove the optional for it. Thanks!
