Default High Lords will host Titan teaching raid on Saturday, January 9 at 9pm EST

Our last teaching raid Legendary Shroud was a fun kickoff to our 2016 teaching raid series! We had 3 people that were new to our teaching raid events and we hope to see more new folks this week too! CLICK HERE to read about it!

Next in our teaching raid series will be The Titan Awakes on Saturday, January 9 at 9pm EST!

All events in this series are for players new(er) to the raiding scene or players that are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Dbags not welcome. Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids and to enhance the Sarlona community. There is no level cap for any of our teaching raids.

If you are new to Titan, you will need to flag by completing 3 quests: Hiding in Plain Sight, in The Harbor, and Slavers of the Shrieking Mines and Bring Me the Head of Ghola Fan in The Restless Isles. You will need to have access to The Restless Isles adventure pack.

Tip: The Restless Isles can be a confusing map to find your way around in. If you can find someone that already has the quests, have them share the quests with you, which will allow you to use the guides near the Restless Isles wilderness zone entrance to teleport much closer to the quests.

After completing the 3 flagging quests, speak to Ostler Caulstone at the entrance to The Restless Isles to repair your sigil of Dal Quor. Once your sigil is repaired, you will be able to enter the pre-raid The Twilight Forge. If you already have a sigil from a past life, you do not need to run the flagging quests again, just make sure to repair your sigil prior to the raid.

We will be teaching both the raid (The Titan Awakes) and pre-raid (The Twilight Forge) so all you will need to do ahead of time is run the 3 flagging quests and repair your sigil.

Space is limited so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please contact me in game on Voodu or Gingerspyce.

Thanks for all the support and special thanks to DDOCast and DDO Chronicle for mentioning our events. We hope to see you in raids soon!

    Much love,
Gingerspyce and The High Lords of Malkier

PS. All are welcome to attend our Tuesday Night Abbotfest (heroic) and our Friday Night Mark of Deathfest. These events aren't as formal as our teaching raids but we are happy to explain how the raid works to new players.

PPS. I was a guest on DDOCast's 2015 Year End Review episode 412, which you can listen to HERE!

To see what our events are like, check out the collection of our teaching raid videos in the Guides & Strategies forum HERE!

No one has signed up for the Titan teaching raid yet... Not many people run this raid any more, so don't miss this opportunity to learn one of DDO's most intricate pre-raids and raids!

    I would be interested.

I gave up on this raid and have never completed it. I ran it with a bunch of folks when I started to play and it would always just barely fail on the big titan/pillar. I figured out the raid on my own before I discovered wiki and solo'ed it and failed in the same spot as the PUG raids.

I really don't recall all the details or remember how it works. I do carry around the a gold statue and some other item in my backpack on Livmo. I just hit L25 last night and I know they are still in my bag (saw then when i was swappign gear).

To be honest, I gave up on the raid because it seemed a pain to complete and didn't have any loot I wanted or needed after I finally did wiki it. I don't recall, but this raid may have been what triggered me to wiki.

It would be nice to complete it just once. I was told not to throw away the gold statue and other item, because they could be re-used on another life. That was many lives ago, but I do still have them.

The gold statue and the ogre khan's skull are only used to slightly shorten the way to reach the raid in the Restless Isles, and aren't needed for the raid (or pre-raid) themselves. Which is a good thing, because apparently access to the skull was broken some updates ago.

Good luck to everyone trying it out. It is one of my favorite DDO pre-raids. The raid itself is interesting, but have a serious problem where only 3 people actually have some job (Titan chew toy, gunner, crystal runner) while the rest pike.

Oh, it got short circuited after Shadowfell very much like HoX: Ruin can one-shot the raid boss, bypassing the raid altogether. If you are joining Ginger's run, please, don't do that. Learn it as it is intended to be run. The raid IS fun to learn.

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

    Default Details? Streamed?

Will anyone be streaming this? If not, I'd be happy to stream it. This would make it so it can be posted to YouTube and watched by anyone hoping to learn the raid. I'd be happy to host my perspective on my channel OR on DDOstream IF no-one else is scheduled to be on the community channel at that time. Would it be planned for at level or any level? Maybe Cordovan might even be available to multistream on his channel and get a couple different angles/perspectives.

Thanks Nibel! I agree with the 3 person part as a big time flaw of the raid

We always teach "legit" methods of completing raids. Hopefully the people that joined our HOX teaching raids last year are now prepared for Legendary HOX, knowing how to actually run the raid

Last year we took video of all of our teaching raids and they are on my channel. I also compiled a list of all of our teaching raid videos in the Guides & Strategies forum HERE as a resource for all (also linked in my sig).

We have never livestreamed our teaching raids, but if you are interested in joining us and livestreaming any of our teaching raid events that would be cool!

    I will be on Livmo.

I was going to send an in-game msg last night, but I got home from work late, and then did and EE CitW PUG and forgot. I had a good time and lost track of time! Afterwards I looked at the clock and it was bedtime : ) ) I finally got an Antipod for my arty dog!

Also, I wanted to send you an in-game mail, because the 2015 Players Council is ending soon and applications will pop up for the new 2016 Council very soon.

Although you already do allot to make DDO fun and welcoming for peeps (TYVM), and I'm sure you're just as busy as everyone else, but the 2016 Council is going to get to work on Update 30, which may or may not have some groovy stuff for DDO's 10 year annivesary. Furthermore, you never know, but druid may or may not come up in 2016 for a pass. It's not bad (players council) in terms of time comitment.

IMO you would be a good fit for the next Council in 2016 and strongly encourage you to apply. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the things in DDO that you hold dear.

    See you Sat!

    Default Me Too Please

    Hi Ginger,

    Sunmaned here.

Long time, I haven't been able to play much the last few months. If you still have room I'd like to make the run. I've never run the raid, but I have a Sigil from last life. I'm lvl 17 at the moment.

    Thanks,
    Sun
