The last couple days I have been farming vol with my paladin and a few other quests. Once I ransacked, this morning I switched to my Bard. I teleported out to the quest and went in. End chest said "You have ransacked this chest offten"
So I thought that was odd because the wiki says:
"Every single chest in the game has its own chest ID and "ransack timer". Timers are tracked separately for each character. They are not tracked separately for each difficulty level (with a couple of exceptions)."
So I figured there was a bug loaded out to run it again , recalled to grab loot "I like the new loot" and when I arrived at the quest giverI didn't even have the quest? .... no loot , so how did I get in the quest, if I did not have the quest? So for grins I took the quest, then abandoned it. went back out to VoL, and sure enough it lets me in? this cant be right. This should be fixed. Is there a way to move this post to a Bug Section?
I did submit an in game bug report.

Ransack and able to enter quest with out quest?

With the Necro 4 quests, if you have the Heroic quest you can enter the Epic quest, but you won't get the end reward.
As for ransack, have you done the quest recently with your Bard? Ransack penalties can last up to a week.

If you have the heroic version of a quest that has a different quest giver for epic, you can enter the epic version of it without having the epic quest. This applies to Necro, some 3BC, and GH just off the top of my head.
As far as the ransack, is it possible you were ransacked on your bard already from runs earlier in the week?I would have a sig, but Someone might be offended by it so I will just list characters.
Vicinity, Proximity, and far to many bank toons too list.

Na to the bard ransacking earlier, just a bank toon really, I only pulled him out and he is only 24th lv not ideal for vol hard loot runs.. but Im hooked an want that **** helm
