    Default Crowd Control Monkcher

Trying to convert my shuri/bow furyshot https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...e-Elf-Monkcher
into a build with crowd control for EE (such as LE HOX), referencing https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...paralyze-dc-aa.

    Elf Monk 18/Wizard 1/X 1 (36 point build)
    D 20 + 7 tome + 12/4/1 item (ring, boots or necklace, exc augment) + 6 enh (elf, aa) + 2 ship + 2 profane (trinket) + 4 tenser's = 58 (+24 mod)
C 10 (since you are going to get one shot in EE anyway, right?)
    W 18 + 7 level + 7 tome + 12/4/1/2 item (goggles/helm slots with exc augment) + 2 ap (aa) + 4 ocean + 2 ship + 6 shiradi + 2 spooky +2 profane (trinket) = 69 (+29 mod)

    1 point blank shot
    1m shuriken expertise
    2m zen archery
    3 rapid shot
    6 quick draw
    6m 10k stars
    9 precise shot
    12 manyshot
    15 improved precise shot
    18 precision
    21 improved crit ranged
    24 overwhelming crit
    26 guardian angel
    27 blinding speed
    28 doubleshot
    29 forced escape
    30 epic reflexes
30 scion of the feywild (+4 enchant, 2d20 sonic damage, +30 USP, +20 HA)
1w spell focus enchant (taking at level 16+ does not mess up feat progression)

elf 25 ap (+4% hit, +2 dex, arcane archer, longbow dex to damage, 3% doubleshot, +1 enchantment)
aa 41 ap (20% doubleshot, +1 crit mult bows, +4 dex, +2 wis, arrow of slaying)
henshin 8 ap (ki regen 1)
ninja 6 ap (shuriken dex to damage, 1d6 sneak damage)

    Shiradi Paralyze DC (bows or shurikens): 20 + 29 wis + 4 aa enh + 1 elf enh + 1 sf + 6 item (thunderforged bow/shuriken) + 2 augment + 3 enchant spec twist + 2 insight (ring) + 1 guild + 4 scion= 73 dc
    FOTW Paralyze DC (bows or shurikens): 20 + 27 wis (acute instincts makes up for 2 of 6 wis loss) + 4 aa enh + 1 elf enh + 1 sf + 6 item + 2 augment + 2 insight + 1 guild +4 scion = 68 dc

For CC you can run in Shiradi with nerve venom and +6 wis. For "dps" (kind of nerfed compared to a dex build) you can run in FOTW.
    Shiradi Twists:
    sense weakness
    enchant specialist
    enlightenment
    cocoon

    FOTW Twists:
    otto's whistler
    whirling wrists
    pin
    cocoon

    base doubleshot: 10 feat + 9 past lives + 8 item + 2 guild + 20 aa capstone + 3 elf = 52
base shuriken doubleshot: 52 + 58 (advanced ninja training) + 58 (shuriken expertise) = 168 (really 3 separate checks with up to 4 shurikens, but you average 2.68 shurikens per throw)
    final shuriken rof: 84 * 2.68 (doubleshot/advanced ninja training/shuriken expertise) = 225/minute (without 10k stars)

So you in FOTW you use bows for furyshots with manyshot/10k stars, otherwise use shurikens. In Shiradi you probably just use bows with manyshot, otherwise use shurikens.

I'm not sure that you need such a high DC with your fast attack rate. You could probably go to 64 DC and still be fine. Try picking up arborea legendary feat or limbo for higher ranged power to increase slaying arrow damage. But again this is new content, so you will have a safety net should you go for max. I personally would go for enough DC where I know I can keep mobs paralyzed. But this does not mean DC needs to be maxed. Since every additional point after that is what could have been used to add to dps.

    Food for thought.

I've taken my own Monkcher in this direction (well, I expect most Monk-heavy archers do). STR-based Helf 18 Mnk/1 Rgr/1 Art. Basically I agree with CrackedIce, there's no need to take every single point of Enchantment DC available regardless of cost, lower 60s should still work reasonably well.

For instance, dropping Dragon's Edge T2 is huge for a Furyshotter, and only gives +1 to DC (you include +2 insight, presumably from The Band Immaterial which is already +5). Taking Feywild instead of Astral Plane or Arborea (not sure if 8% DS is better than 20 RP or not) is also kinda big, although admittedly for a much larger DC bonus.

I didn't see +1 Unique DC bonus from TF two-hander included with Dwarvencraft T1. Does this not work with bows? (With current and expected ubiquitous endgame fire immunity, 1st Degree Burns is no longer a no-brainer.)

I'm looking at a 66 dc in dreadnaught with this design. I'll tr into it and see how it plays. I'm going human though and have enough changes to this in mind that I think I'll make a new thread if and when I finish it.
Nightmanis De'Corenai 20 Rogue Mechanic or Assassin. Depending on how I feel during the etr.

Watch out! There aren't ranger levels so your only options are elvish races!

If you add a gear slot with Dazing, each hit saps their will save up to 5 times although with a long cooldown of buildup--once every 3 seconds . But every bit helps.

Visions of precision would be very nice for this build

Umm, why would you go human on a monkcher anymore, given how important the higher-lvl AA core abilities are now?

I was wanting a more traditional level spread like we used to do (13/6/1) that had the tier 5 deepwood stuff and sniper shot, but the more I think about it the worse the idea gets. I end up losing 25% doubleshot during 10k which kills the build outright.

I had been up for 36 hours by then so I was a bit delirious. Sorry about that.
