When is the official release date of u29?

Of course they can't tell you exactly when the update will arrive. There are still many things to be done and if it doesn't go as planned things might be rescheduled.
If they tell us it will arrive this week, and they later decide it has to be after the holiday due to unforeseen bugs/whatever, that brings even more angry people to the forums.

Btw, I really don't care how many people are going to be 'caught in the middle of a TR'. It is only 2 levels (2 million exp).
Sure it can be quite some time to acquire that, but it's certainly not the end of the world.

How anyone could think changes of this magnitude would NOT cause like thrice as much bugs as the usual *nearly untested nearly un-QAed gotta meet the deadline lets just shove that bugger out there its just your average content update what could possibly go wrong?!* is beyond me. I highly doubt you had the time to give only half the attention you usually give to the comparatively few bugs that were pointed out in Lam threads given all the focus on the feats and the GS and the difficulty adjustments. And its not like your run of the mill update ever was great on that in the first place.
When you say "if it has to be later we will release after the holidays" that would imply that the deadline imposed on you lot from above is actually not <23rd but <31th?! So can we please target the 30th from the getgo and save everybody a LOT of aggravation over the holidays with 2-3 more days to CHECK and FIX stuff from 27-30th? thank you.

Also, if the majority of Devs have a lot of Christmastime off, I'd much rather have the stable DDO we have now than an unplayable desperately-needs-a-hotfix u29 during all of my Christmastime off.

hold on cordovan comes on to answer the star trek quote but no to answer the comment about giving people a bit of notice so they don't get hung out to dry by not getting time to ETR/ITR, seems a bit wrong there. Not like he didn't read the tread. Just saying, would be a bit **** to be level 27 nearly 28 and then need 2 more levels when you could have spend an extra hour to 2 to get there when you would have logged normally.

I got Lieuk up to 24 last night {2.3mil} and hope to get him to 26 today.
Unfortunately I'm expecting the Update tomorrow and there's no way I'm getting 4.3 mil xp {Lvl 28} in one day - just no way.

If the Update is Friday I should manage that one last ETR.


My advice is to put in that extra effort today/tomorrow just in case.

I really hope the devs reconsider releasing the update before the holidays.

LGS really needs an entire new pass to change the loot effects, a lot of them leave a great deal to be desired, and there is almost zero originality in the current lists.

I've been told that LE Shroud is just regular Shroud with monsters hitting people for 2000 hp per hit.

This is your idea of design?

I am insane even mentioning it would be nice stuff gets NOT pushed out unfinished, yes, I'm aware of that. personally, 8th-15th january would be reassuring. but there DOES seem to be some sort of 2015 deadline.

SO, in a way, yes, Id rather have the servers down, or the game doing weird things, while *I* am drunk on new year and thus dont notice anyways, then over X-mas, where I am NOT drunk but might enjoy a few hours here and there to take a break from all that merry family get-together once in a while, all the while having 3 days worth of slightly lesser amount of bugs included in the package.

Maybe they will let ppl Epic TR for a month at 28 and make a Legendary TR for 30. Will there be Tier increases in destines? Atm I am destines and xp capped at lvl 28, waiting on update 29 and all its patches.

Yup! Then the power went out this morning. (Seriously, there was a building-wide outage this morning, then some additional work needed to restore Internet service.) We will be discussing our plans tonight and decide whether/when we are ready to release.
