No High Rollers Festivult Giveaway this year

Dear Cannith,

The High Rollers will not be doing our annual giveaway this year. Over the last two years, we have found it increasingly difficult to give away the items that we had accumulated through donation and collecting. Our guild has also gone from enough active people to fill two raid groups to not even being able to fill a six-man party.

Even so, I wish everyone a happy Festivult season.

As many know, my health has been an issue since 2012, but on Nov. 9th I had a fairly serious heart attack. So now, two new stents and a lot of new meds later, my convoluted health is even more uncertain. I'm recovering well, I just have little endurance at the moment, and will often lose all energy with no notice at all. I'm trying to get back to work, which saps my reserves even more, and when I get home it's often right to bed - leaving me with no game time at the moment.


Sad to see our annual give-away has felt the pinch, and I wish I could have helped keep it going. Love to all my Roller buddies, and to Cannith at large! Hope to see y'all and jump back in the mix soon!

More importantly, please take it slow. You are part of the community and I always look forward to your posts. They have took the edge of many a harsh day for me. It would break my heart to know that you were no longer with us. Your health is important. The game will be here when you have the energy again to play.

Hi Memnir, so sorry to learn of this. Please get well. I am convinced that computer use makes us worse off for our health, so staying away from the game means you will recover faster. A choice I would make in a heartbeat. Take care.

I did not know about the former, never mind the latter. I know we've never met in game but - take care of yourself mem however you can, this must be a properly difficult time for you. I hope any time you do get to play helps take your mind off all that and keeps things positive for you, and if your doctor says 'no more sitting at a computer!' then do come back and tell us so we can have a big public memnir-retirement party.



(OP - I'm sorry to hear about your loss in numbers and activity, I think lots of guilds are in the same boat. ...But making sure memnir knows he's still appreciated takes precedence I'm afraid!)
