    Default Mechartie

I am looking for any input that might help me find ways to make this character better, or avoid any trouble spots. He is going to be a mainly ranged character, which I will play mainly with a repeater until 20th level. After this, I will go to a great crossbow for the big buffs to non-repeaters from the mechanic tree, plus endless fusilade. His main class is still Artie, so I'm hoping for casting to be a strong option for him as well.

I do a lot of soloing in heroic, and will probably mostly be looking for groups to go above hard DC in epics, but would like him to be reasonably survivable, and providing a good contribution to the group. Let me know what you think!

    Default P.s.

Destiny and Twists can largely be ignored - I am still going to be leveling destinies in this life, and will be starting with Shadowdancer. The twists I actually have available at the beginning of this life will all be in the arcane sphere (I think with a total of 5 fate points available)

By cutting out points from Battle Engineer, you can reinvest in Harper for Strategic Combat II which will apply your intelligence to your damage. By changing to Bladeforged, you can take Deadly Weapons instead of Reconstruct as your one spell, and use some of the left over change from taking down battle engineer for the reconstruct sla.

Something I'm seeing with mechanic builds with Endless Fussilade is that when it pops you're going to take aggro, and then get smashed because you have specialist hitpoints and no PRR.

Also, if you're not going to take Lightning Motes, Blade Barrier or Tactical Detonation, I'd gut Empower, Hieghten, Epic Spell Power: Electricity, and Blind Speed (Get rid of BS because it's just not that useful when you can gear it).

Add in instead: Insightful Reflexes and for your ED Feat, Holy Strike would be much more effective.

The main problem I see here is you don't spend anything on Arcanotechnician to bump up your spellcasting. You also only have one lvl 6 spell slot, which means you have to choose between Reconstruct, Deadly Weapons, Blade Barrier, or Tactical Detonation. The AT SLAs are great for heroic leveling because they can be meta'ed for free; but you don't have the APs to spare to spend on them and you don't have the SPs to be spamming the regular spells meta'ed.

    Default Might I add

The amount of AP in the BE tree makes it appears you will be using rune arm a lot.

Only issue I have with that is you can't take Tactical Mobility (tier 5 in BE tree) which means you will be "Run like baby turtle" . and always = Dead baby turtle.

I feel 15/5 really hurts your casting a bit and not dipping into the Assassin tree for killer hurts your Pew Pew Pew dps

Just my opinion and not really worth the whole 2 cents.

    Default Mechartie: March II

So I've been thinking a lot about the feedback I've received, and what I really want out of this character. I would be tempted to go with the BF route if +1 hearts were a *lot* cheaper. But I think the synergy with great crossbows that I'm interested in exploring will be better if I go 18 rogue for expert builder. In that case, I lose all the repair spells, and it's not as worthwhile to go WF either. I still like the idea of having rune arm use, at least for the imbues (and probably won't keep it charged when moving). So here is my revised plan:
