Thumbs up Build Request: solo warlock

Hey guys. Just returning after a long absence and I'm itching to try the new class, warlocks.

Can anyone build me one? I don't have half-elf nor bladeforged, but I do have most of the rest. Also I don't have gear for him, so he must be viable with what he gets from quests.

Not sure which is best, pure, pally splash or rogue splash? Or is it something else? Can he be a good char for raids and EH?

    Thanks.

If you have PDK, a PDK/Warlock is fun to plat. I've done all 3 types now, Fey, Fiend, and Great Old One, and have enjoyed them all.

You start at L15 with PDK starter gear, but I get rid of most of it. I use Cannith Crafted platemail to start with that has blue augment slot. I craft Greater Twilight on it (Cannith Crafting Planner) to reduce Arcane Spell Failure.

Don't forget spell sticks or items to equip to for spell power and spell crits.

Lastly, if you Iconic Reincarnate at level 28 you get 2 nice passive past life feats for end game; PRR from PDK and MRR from Warlock.

If you're actually starting from scratch with zero twink gear, Morninglords are also a good choice for a first-life Warlock, since they start with both Combustion and Radiance gear, which meshes well with a Fiend `lock who takes Utterdark Blast. The cleric splash provides access to CCW wands for immediate self-heals and you'll have high enough UMD for Heal scrolls eventually; Shining Through acts as your primary HP buffer; while WP & DiDi enhs boost your Fire & Light spellpower, respectively. Only downside is Turbine bugfixed ASF to apply to Eldritch Blasts (it already applied to spells) and MLs start with heavy armor; but this doesn't appear to affect ES auras or SLAs, so you can use a subset of `lock abilities in hvy armor w/out penalty until you can replace it with med armor (or can invest in enough ASF reduction).

Does PDK warlock actually use a few fighter levels, or do you need to use a +1 heart?

When you make a class such as warlock out of an iconic race you are stuck with at least 1 level from that race. In my case fighter.

Here is an example of a PDK/Warlock with a fighter level:

My Salad Shooter build may provide the insight you are looking for. I do want to mention that I'm having a great time playing an iconic Sun Elf Morninglord warlock (Fiend/fire) as well.

When I multiclass toons I consult the DDO wiki level Advancement tables for each class I may splash to see what I can best optimize out of the class splits regarding feats. For example, taking a 2nd level of fighter gives me an extra bonus fighter feat. After looking at the fighter bonus feats I went with 2nd level of fighter on one of my many warlocks for the Dodge feat.

I tend to roll with the iconic 1st level class and save my hearts in case I goof a build bad enough that I have to use it. I hoard the free hearts for a rainy day basically.
