    1. Crucible: Best quest for me, it has everything that this game can offer condensed in one: good fights, mazes, puzzles, riddles, traps, more mazes, nasty troll mobs (funny to get sleet storm'd above the maze when you don't have fom).
2: The pit: Similar to the above + Mario jump skills.
3: Monastery of the scorpion: more traps, nasty traps, which can be avoided with skill. Fights and a very nice end-fight where you can choose how to end it.
4: Rainbow in the dark: darkness fun, traps, rust monsters, lots of fights, puzzles.
5: What goes up: this one just feels too epic when you get to the glacier.
6: Stealer of souls: I love quest mechanics and background story behind it, all 4 maps + endfight are amusing. Flag is a bit annoying.
7: Into the deeps: Did it 3 times a day with the old epics, never got tired, was fun to figure out the strategy on an undergeared group and still get it done.
8: Ghola fan: annoying to get to the quest, but the quest itself is fun and well designed.
    9. Haunted halls: see #1
10: Gianthold Tor: I get the epic feeling in this one too.
11: In the flesh: Bit of a challenge, need a brain to complete it, beholders and minflayers random attacks makes it very dangerous

    Raids:
1: Tempest spine: A huge fortress with traps, enemies, maze, no map, a lot of optionals, and a very nice endfight that requires some brain.
2: Lord of blades: Was really challenging when it came out, needed lots of teamwork and coordination, has a lot of mechanics and required several different roles.
3: Deathwyrm: Would be perfect with 2-4 less mirror rooms.
Argo: - Trolls Lair / Intransigence

OK, Here is my list, in no particular order. And to be honest, it was hard to eliminate some to get the list down to 10. On a different day, the list may be different. I did not include Raids. As a few others have said, they are a different thing so its hard to compare them to quests.

The Pit - And Franohmsford, I certainly would include it on the list if the XP were less. I would probably be soloing it more if that were the case, but I often run this quest 3-4 times a life and sometimes for little XP.
Haywire Foundry - the adrenaline rush in the run at the end should be duplicated in so many other quests.
Blockade Buster - it feels like a real mission - sneak on board ships and sabotage them!
    Undermine
    The Devil's Details
    Inferno of the Damned
    The Crucible -
    The Coalescence Chamber
    Through a Mirror Darkly
    Precious Cargo
Sarlona Server - Augon, Vitrin, Allaric, Taheghi, Dhakenshaup, Diviciacus, Loukus, Mehujael, Phreddd, Talaun, Zhugeliangg

The mistakes of a fighter are the scars on his face.
The mistakes of a rogue are still locked in their place.
The mistakes of a mage were destroyed with a boom.
And the mistakes of a Cleric are lying in a tomb.

I don't really have favorite quests anymore. the quests I list were fun at one time when they used to be challenging and encouraged group play. now they are just nostalgia quests.

    1. Tempest Spine when I first started playing I would run this quest even after I was on ransack and milked the xp dry.

    2. The Caverns of Shaagh

    3. Proof is in the Poison

    4. Bring Me The Head of Ghola-Fan I used to do daily runs farming for the Royal Guard Mask.

    5. Kobold Assault I used to run around collecting t-bags after the quest was complete. so many Prayer Beads.

    6. Weapons Shipment (after the change)

    7. The Tear of Dhakaan I remember when the group would each get one shard to turn in.

    8. The Jungle of Khyber

    9. What Goes Up except for the annoying here one second gone the next second teleporting end fight boss

    10. The End of the Road non invis method. love the creepy sound affects during the boss fight.

honorable mentions go to Stormhorns, Amrath and Gianthold quests in general and Into The Deep, Lords of Dust, Coalescence Chamber, Shroud, Siegebreaker, A Relic of a Sovereign Past, Chains of Flame, Von 5, Bloody Crypt, Redwillows Ruins, Irestone Inlet, Miserys Peak, In the Belly of the Beast. its too tough to just pick 10.

You are the one choosing not to play alts.

Casual player now investing way less than I used to into the game, playing 1-3 months at a time and still want nothing to do with Reaper. #improvepuggrouping#alldifficultiesmatter

Great stuff, keep them coming. I am tabulating them all. I give 2 pts for everyone's first choice, 1 point for the other 9 places. For those that say in no particular order I pick the first one you list as your first choice. I only count your top 10. Whoever posted ddtw and botb in their top 10 I don't know what those quests are being abbreviated.

    The list so far.

    1. Haunted Halls of Eveningstar
    2. Crucible
    3. The Pit
    4. What Goes Up
    5. Accursed Ascension, The Pit, Tempest Spine, Rainbow in the Dark, A Study in Sable
    10. Framework, Gwylann's Stand
    12. Wiz King, Undermine, Von3, Shroud, Shadow Crypt, Spinner of Shadows, GH Tor, Tear Dalkaan, Through a Mirror Darkly
    21. Sins of Attrition, Claw of Vulkoor, Partycrashers, Von5, Coalescence Chamber, Ghola Fan

Proof positive that the forums shouldn't be relied upon.

Crucible and The Pit are two of the most hated quests in the game yet always end up on top of these forum lists!

Haunted Halls - Really? Most players will have never even stepped into them! I only wish the Devs had given us a Lvl 10 version of these {and not in the same terrible fashion as Heroic ToEE either!}.

What Goes Up is a great looking quest {if you can actually see it!} but I believe it's place on this list is exaggerated because it gives silly xp on Epic! {Heck if What Goes Up is so good then where's Break in the Ice? It's very similar to What Goes Up without the ridiculous pink screen and pretty in pink end fight! - In fact everything that What Goes Up does wrong, Break in the Ice does right!}.

So your responses here are pure and not based on xp but everyone elses opinion (if different than your own) are based on xp/min? Just because someones opinion differs from yours doesn't mean you have proof they are wrong. Opinions are not wrong or right, they are just different.

The only "proof" here is that some people are so full of themselves that they believe anyone with a different opinion to their own is wrong!

You are mistaking "least understood" and "least run" with "most hated", and furthermore seem to think that a quest cannot be the greatest and most hated at the same time (opinion polls on popularity of things that allow indication of likes and hates often have the most popular options also appearing as most hated). You'll find many more people who hate Let Sleeping Dust Lie, Coalescence Chamber (and several others).

Then they should, it's an excellently written and designed quest.

The only thing WGU and BiTI have in common are that thry are icy, and part of the same adventure pack. They have entirely different mechanics, plot, subquests, end boss, and level of challenge. Are you going to say Prey on the Hunter is similar next?

If we are talking about the most popular quests, that'd be a whole different (and very boring ) list.

You are wrong on so many levels. These quests are all great, with different challenges. That you dont understand them does not make them bad. Though, your opinion is just as valid as everyone else's I guess

    My list:

    1: Xorian Cipher

    2: Crucible.

    3: Burning City

    4: Terminal Delirium.

    5: Haunted Halls

6: Halls of Shan-To-Kor. IMO one of the best stories in DDO, and the start of the entire Stormreaver storyline. Every time I do STK I love it.

    7: Tear of Dhakhaan

8: Offering of Blood. Nothing in DDO has come close to doing this on elite back when cap was 12.

    9: Against a demon queen.

    10: The Enemy Within.

In no special order the quests that I like most:

The Pit - I like vertical dungeons and its simply fun for me

Shadow Crypt - I like the idea of the dungeon itself being the puzzle and the boss has a unique ability (clones)

Undermine - Great quest. I love that we have several different options to overcome the minefield, the Indiana Jones boulder is nice and the boss has a unique ability (laying mines)

In the flesh - Yaulthoon has a really good voice and the and the endfight has a really unique setting

Acute delirium - Some hate it, I love it because its different and it its rellay insange to fly on a bedship into a beholder. Great setting.

New Invasion - Unique boss fight and has the only pit fiend that is where it belongs ... in a pit.

Enter the Kobold - The endfight is still challenging

Tomb of the tormented - Its different, not just a beatdown. It can be difficult without a trapper but then the joy of success is even greater.

Sane Asylum - Simply because we have choices (fight or puzzle) and because I like the Xoriat setting.

Into the deep - The underwater portion is unique.

Blockade Buster - Again because it gives options (fight or sneak)

Proof is in the poison - Good challenge for the lower levels

Brothers of the Forge - Even though the quest itself is not that great I love the tragic story. The traumatized soldier is not really innovative still I like it.

As you can see most is heroic stuff and mostly I like having options and not being forced to kill everything. What I really cannot stand at all is TOEE. That is boredom incarnate. The joke "What could be more surprising than more of the same" fitted the Lord of Stone for one quest but it should not be done for such gargantuan quests. Its just ultraboring espeacially when there is nothing else to do in the quest.

Been also keeping a list, giving a more sensitive score:
    - 4 for 1st, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd 4th 5th, 1 for rest in an ordered list of 10
    - 2 for each quest in a no preference list of 10 to 13
    - 3 for 1st of each ordered list (some provide 2 ordered lists), 2 for 2nd of each and 1 for each other.
    - For lists with more than 10 quests, I start reducing the points. I try to have the sum of points close to 20 for each person but still be able to raise the first quests' score.
Honorable mentions get a 0 score obviously, although they could count towards the times a quest has been mentioned if I upgrade the point system.

My scoring could probably use some improvement, like add a point to the quest for each 2nd time it is mentioned. This means that if a quest makes it 4 times low in a favorite list, it won't have the same score as a quest that shows up once on top of someone's list.
And could also start giving penalties to quests that get mentioned a lot due to people reading the thread and saying "Oh, that quest this guy mentions is a great one, I'll put it first" making the quest occupy a false 1st spot. And some boosts to quests that start showing up late in the thread but make it to top 5.

    Here's the list so far:
    22 Haunted Halls of Eveningstar
    21 The Crucible
    19 The Pit
    16 Tempest's Spine
    13 A Study in Sable
    12 What Goes Up
    11 Rainbow in the Dark
    11 Jungles of Khyber
    11 Undermine
    10 Through a Mirror Darkly
    9 Accursed Ascension
    9 Spinner of Shadows
    9 Shadow Crypt
    9 In the Flesh
    8 Vault of Night
    8 The Chamber of Raiyum
    8 Frame Work
    7 Gianthold Tor
    7 The Lord of Blades
    7 The Shroud
    7 Gwylan's Stand
    7 Tear of Dhakaan
    7 Partycrashers
7 Proof is in the Poison
7 Bring me the Head of Ghola Fan
    7 Blockade Buster
    7 Tomb of the Tormented
    7 Xorian Cipher
    6 Coalescence Chamber

    runner ups:
    5 Sins of Attrition
    5 Twilight Forge
    4 Caverns of Shaagh
    4 Precious Cargo
    4 Stealer of Souls
    4 The Claw of Vulkoor
    4 Chains of Flame
    3 Hound of Xoriat
3 Relic of a Sovereign Past
    3 Mired in Kobolds
    3 Haywire Foundry
    3 Caverns of Korromar
3 In the Belly of the Beast
    3 Enter the Kobold

#1 - Tempest Spine. I like that the map is useless. My first few trips in there were truly scary. I was so afraid of getting separated from the group. Finally one day I decided to stay in after completion and explore...try to learn my way around. Boy was I surprised when I ran into some areas we had skipped to find more giants waiting to slaughter me. Then...I found out the outside was just as big as the inside...and just as dangerous.
#2 - Tear of Dhakaan. Was a pretty rough quest in the early days. You didn't dare go in without a healer. And needing a group versatile enough to handle the optional runes made it really feel like a team game. Now, sadly, it is a zergfest.
#3A, 3B, 3C - The entire Shan-to-kor chain. Those Hobs used to hit hard.
    #4 - Haunted Halls
    #5 - Shroud
#6 - Vision of Destruction. Lots of action/explosions/mayhem...followed by pauses in the action to see what Sully will do next. You needed a competent tank to Hold Sully's attention. You needed a couple of skilled healers. You even needed a trapper. Pretty intense action before the advent of MOTU.
    #7 - Delera's Part 2
    #8 - Delera's Part 4
    #9 - Study in Sable
#10 - Blown to Bits. I love the optional of killing the Golem who ****s bombs.
Leader of Legion of Eberron on Cannith.

    Characters: Loromir & Baldomir....among others.

    10. Trial by Fury

    9. Prison of the Planes

    8. Stealer of Souls

    7. The Dreaming Dark

    6. Undermine

    5. The Vault of Night

    4. Haunted Halls

    3. A Study in Sable

    2. Temple of Elemental Evil
I'm sure I'll get some flack for this, but I really enjoy just exploring to see what rares are around. It's a great option to just relax and explore. If I'm not in the mood to get XP and just go for a stroll, I go to TOEE.

    1. Siegebreaker
Excellent, humorous writing with a fun puzzle mechanic. The Pinky and the Brain reference gets me every time.
