Default Bravery Streak resets despite message claiming otherwise

A few hours ago, I entered the quest "Old Grey Garl" (level 7) on Normal with a level 7 character (name: bellcranel; server: Cannith) and an elite bravery streak of 16.

I realized that this might break the streak (but didn't remember the specifics, because I haven't played much recently), so I opened the xp log and saw the message informing me that "you are not eligible for Bravery Bonuses in this quest, but will not disrupt Bravery Streaks." Confident in my ability to hold my unusually high streak, I continued the quest and forgot about the streak.

When I went to enter another quest some time later, however, I notice that both of my bravery streaks had reset to zero. This is fairly annoying, in part because it's very rare for me to have much of a streak (and because the streak had helped make that character my fastest-leveling one to date), but more because the game had informed me that my streak would not be broken.

I realize it's unlikely that I can get the bonus reinstated besides by re-earning it (which won't be easy lacking the ability to open quests on higher difficulties), but I feel it's always worth a try, and I wasn't sure if this warranted a proper bug report.

I also have a couple screenshots, if those would help.

Completing a level 7 quest on normal at level 7 should break your streak. If there is a bug it is where it was reported to you that it wouldn't break it. If you're interested in getting the bug fixed, one path to take is post the screenshot of where it says the quest wont break your streak.

If like so many others you develop an unhealthy paranoia about your streak breaking, you can check once inside a dungeon by looking at your xp panel; streaks are only broken when you complete a dungeon, so you can exit if you get it wrong with no penalty.

For your future reference, you can suspend your bravery streak in the hall of heroes at the bravery marshall (or the same on an airship) so it wont get wiped when you run quests on normal or hard - just remember to turn it back on if you join an elite group.

Subscribing to the game may be out of your means but it allows you to open quests at whatever difficulty you want.

The DDO wiki on bravery explains the mechanism well.

    Good luck.

I am aware of that. The problem is that the message in the dungeon indicated that the streak wouldn't break.

All right, then. Before and after.

I've also noticed now that it only mentioned my hard streak... That should've been a dead giveaway that something was wrong. Oh well.

I didn't know that! Thanks! This'll be great for my advancement!
