    Default Most needed classes?

    I'm returning to DDO after a long break. What are some of the most needed classes right now?
    I played Arti and Rogue with major success, and played healers in a lot of other MMOs with major success as well, so I could play a healer or a rogue in DDO. I just need to know what's really in demand?

    I will be starting over at level 1 to get back into the game, and working my way up to epics.

    Well, the tide has turned back to the old days when melee were very prominate, and Sev increased the xp bonuses for trapping, so you are likely safe with either choice.

    Frankly, I have found having a Cleric/Favored Soul/Druid ; leading the party ; posting intelligent lmfs of quests people feel confident about ; taking advantage of XP formulas ; giving the party short breaks every few quests ; being positive and light humored ; knowing locations of the quests and being willing to guide others to the entrances ; using wiki/personal knowledge to guide foundamental decisions ; listening to any good advice ; ect... to be a winning combination {stocking up on various scrolls as an arty/rogue would be similar} {I think great Xbow rogue builds are fairly good nowadays}

    I wouldn't say there is any "demand" for any class in DDO. It's not like the old days when a group needed a rogue or a healer to succeed.

    The most powerful classes are the ones that have received a "balance" pass; Paladin, Barbarian, Mech Rogue, Bard, and Warlock. (Druid is also good due to an easily exploitable glitch that may or may not be fixed soonishly.) Those classes are the most prevalent in epic level content and generally can contribute far more to a group then any "un-balanced" classes can.

    You're best off going with one of them if you want to be a net benefit to a group.

    There were many bards running around 6-12 months ago. Now they are much harder to find. I love to have a primarily warchanter based bard in the group laying down all the passive and active buffs. But any bard buffs are missed right now. At least by me.

    It seems the most needed players are not measured by class but skills, and puzzlers may be more popular than trappers.
