I had a nice pair of ML12 +1 Holy Handwraps of Disruption with Race Required: Half-Orc. I put Festival Solar on them, and now they're ML 14. The total item enhancement still shows as +8.

I'm not sure if the same problem happens with Masterwork/Cursed items, or only the old Race Required items, but be warned!
