Took a bit for the graveyard to warm up and start producing MOB's. Was pretty much the only one there for awhile and couldn't find a thing. Then others came in and it started to kick it up.

Mainly seeing wrights and ghouls. Some spectre's and the shadow guys. Once in awhile skeleton's. Would love to see more of a variety.

Got to run all the challenges. Really liked the Lich and the Snitch. Fun seeing the town trashed. Had a slight problem with Havedaser. I'd get the verbal about the Vampire but she wouldn't show up until after I had completed the last room and would catch her on the way out. Would say the Kobald's one was the weakest. Pretty active Kobald zombies. Just not enough of a change from the original.

Had 2 things happen with Kobalds that seemed / were wrong. 1st while in the final big room had a large white spell circle with lines going up to the ceiling appear around my char. twice while I was beside the big stack of boxes in the middle. No effects or anything, just the effect visual. 2nd before opening the door opposite the final bosses room, was attacked by the Shaman inside the room through the door. His spells were passing through the closed door and hitting me.

Lot's of Chocolates, but only 1 key in 2 hours. That and the free 4 allowed me to do all the challenges. Never did the dragon in years past as I knew it would be too much for me. Wasn't sure about having challenges, but they gave me something to do besides run around so you get a thumbs up from me on that move.

Unless you bought them and used them last time like I did...Then you just got the illusion of getting something...

    Default Missed chance for grouping.

Was puging today, 6 peeps in the party, we noticed that the enemies scale a lot with people, run it solo and its waaaaay easier, way more mobs when grouped and no extra reward. Why not even give 1 extra ing for each person above 1 in the party, would at least give a bit for the harder with playing with others, otherwise, I recommend you all solo, way easier.

Drop rates don't seem much different from the preview event.

On the whole grouping is better if you split up from each other once in the party.
Each kill by someone in th party has the chance to give everyone in the party a chocolate or key. Kinda nice that, but with the drop rates for keys being small rather sad to see a special event for DDO is just grind the same mobs and location mindlessly over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

    Much like that really.

Returning back to playing after not playing for 2 years to a disappointment of a special event. Hardly special at all.

Is the old coupon code still active for those of us who missed the preview?

I redeemed both the old and the new ones this morning and got 8 BTA keys...

Actually kind of wondering how long they'll let the +5 heart coupons stay alive. Didn't see any "valid until DATE". Would really suck for a regular player who's on vacation or travel for 2 weeks to come back and find they've expired. I say they should keep them alive until U29 at the minimum.

Farmed the Graveyard today SOLO for about 2 hours (lvl 21 druid, instance F 20-25) and ended up with 14 keys.
That is 14 only for killing mobs, got 8 more keys with the coupon codes from the store.
I'd say the droprate is about right now.

    Default a tribute...

Now that I've had the chance to play this event some more...

let me just say this event sucks.

Even the graveyard must now be played the way the Dev's have decided you will play it.
Get a key, run in the quest, get wiped by lag. Repeat ad nauseam.
(I have already had more lag deaths / fails here than I ever did in the Summoning Chamber.)
If you actually succeed, you have to run out of the graveyard to sell trash loot, over and over again.

Yes, I could dump keys & loot (I'm sure some idiot will point that out), but that's counter-productive.

You can no longer spend hours in the graveyard running around... keys will fill up your inventory.

When I come home from work, I really don't want to be told what to do.

So take this event and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

As if I should actually be excited about having to run some old quest 40 times in a row.

You guys just don't get it, do you. Wake-tf up.

Had 2 spots where I froze for a second in the graveyard in my 2 hours of play, but never had a problem in any of the quests with lag. Did D/C once but that was before opening the quest's first door so no foul.

Also you must be doing something really right if you're filling your inv up with keys as I only got 1 my entire time.

Cordovan, could you share this message with the people who came up with this festival please?

Sitting in Delara's graveyard waiting for spawns is not fun. I shouldn't have to give up running quests for a week just so I can partake in the festivities. Crystal Cove got this right: Being able to trade doubloons for keys allows players to continue playing and partake. Night Revels should follow this pattern.
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

Related to this, Cannith Challenges have an unintended problem: You can't make the gear when you're the level you want to wear it.

A level 3 character cannot farm level 3 challenge gear.

A level 7 character cannot upgrade level 7 challenge gear to tier 2 or 3.

A level 11 character cannot farm level 11 gear, or even upgrade lowly level 7 gear to tier 2 or 3.

I'm planning a level 11 wizard who would really like to grab some of that tasty challenge caster gear, but will have to settle for tier 1 level 7 gear because of level restrictions. It feels kind of wrong that I can't make level 11 gear on a level 11 character, but it feels really wrong that I can't even make level 7 tier 2 gear. I'm level 11! (Or will be, anyway.)

I say this is an unintended problem because you used to be able to make any level gear on any character. The level restrictions were added later to prevent exploits, which is fine and reasonable. If possible, I'd like to see challenges expanded downward. Meaning (for example) if you need ingredient x to make an ML11 item, whatever challenge that ingredient comes from should have a minimum CR of 11. (Anything beyond level 7 tier 1 requires running challenges that have a minimum CR of 14 or 15.)

Really what it means is that all four "basic" challenges would expand from 4-15 to 3-15, and all other challenges would go to 7-20. (Some are 12-20, others 14-20, and a few are 15-20.) All level 7 tier 2 gear requires ingredients from the high level challenges, so just opening all of them to level 7 characters fixes the entire system.

Thank you for the reply and offering me something I can share with my guild! Hopefully that min level gets reduced next time this event occurs.

Regarding pumpkin and skull grenades, since acquiring chocolates has become more grueling, the price for them should drop as well. 2:1 ratio of chocolates to grenades would feel appropriate, though even 3, 4, or 5 to 1 would be better than what it's at now.
85 runs actually, (fresh item -> 24 upgrade)

But you Don't have to finish a level 24 item this year now do you ? I think with the old Mabar it took me 2 to 3 iterations of the event to get all my alts their stuff! There has to be reason to return next year.

For chocolates if you are really not getting enough grab a Draught and farm some Undead heavy quests!

    1. None of the 2 codes yielded me any free keys. Though the store now tells me that the codes have already been used.

    2. The difficulty level of the quests clearly caters to players with several past lifes that are fully geared up. Also, it is basically impossible to find a group to do the quest. And if you find a group/players join your group then most are not willing to join in quests. Leaving you to solo them on a lower level. Which just increases the mindless and boring grind.

The fail of this 'event' just keeps growing.

I have a 50/50 chance of getting items from the store without relogging.
chances are you need to log out then back in to get your items to show up in your inventory.
