Default Interested in joining a larger guild (Sarlona)

I've been playing DDO for a few years now, off and on, with my wife. When we were new we started our own guild, not knowing anyone else who played, but we've never expanded beyond our own characters. We both have a couple higher level characters, though all still on their first life. I've been throwing around the idea with her of disbanding our tiny guild and getting on board with one of Sarlona's more established organizations.

Part of the desire is to be able to explore some of the raid content with a group that knows what they're doing. Bad experiences on other MMOs have made me leery of PUGs as a rule. I play largely for fun, and don't pretend to know a great deal about mechanical optimization, though my main (a Horc Barb) has been able to hold his own on EH and EE in a few quests, but running through the arcs (especially Gianthold) and getting the pre-reqs for the raid without actually being able to participate makes the experience feel incomplete, to say nothing of the amazing gear.

Of course, I'm also looking for a community. Other reasonably mature people that enjoy the game, folks that aren't afraid to request and offer help, and the opportunity to participate in guild events would all be awesome.

If anybody has any suggestions about the right guilds and people to approach, I would appreciate hearing it.

Have you tried poking around in.. Sarlona Guilds? Also I'd opinion that you might get further by naming your character, probably the Missuses too, and maybe even the name of the guild you're in. People might have an easier time forming an opinion of you if they can say "I remember that guy from ___".

I and my static group in my guild get together nightly, and have at it. We may not be what you are looking for, but send me a tell in game (Warthogg) and I will see if I can help get you pointed in the right direction.

    Good luck!

    Don't disband your tiny guild,

You can always join a larger one and keep the old one for storage. However, if you're dead set on abandoning the tiny guild it let me know, as I could use another treasure ship. Perhaps a deal could be worked out?

Don't sweat puggin' its not all that bad.

There are lots of nice big guilds on Sarlona, but won't make recomendations. Follow the link that Hart posted and see what you come up with.

    Default Thank you

Appreciating the replies, everyone. I'll look into posting on Sarlona Guilds, Sgt Hart. My main is Gromugil, a 26 Horc Barb, and wife's main is Hasri 25 Helf Druid. We haven't done a whole heck of a lot of socializing, but I've also never had a particularly negative experience from interacting with people on the server.

Thank you, Drakestor, I'll keep an eye out for you and yours.

Finally, thank you Livmo, I hadn't considered that possibility, but it makes a lot of sense.
