Default US Transactions - DDO Store Turbine Points Error

This was originally posted under https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...-the-DDO-Store but it was on the EU thread.

I figured the US issue would be better posted here. I tried purchasing DDO points through the store and I got an error telling me it cannot be processed at this time and to contact support. I live in the US.

I have tried using Credit Card and Paypal. twice each at different times of the day. While paypal has refunded my transaction within the hour, my Checking Debit card shows 2 transactions. When will the store be fixed?

BTW: I am a US customer in Florida.

    Thanks,

Yeah. I'm having the exact same problem. It appears whatever they did to try to fix the EU store has now broken it for the US.

Today was great. I've recently come back to DDO and reactivated my VIP subscription. After a few days I was wondering why I ever left. I even convinced some friends to come back and enjoy the game with me. Then I tried to purchase some turbine points and my day really great. Opening up the store I navigated through to purchase some coins and made sure there was enough in my steam wallet to afford it. I don't get paid till Friday, but $20 isn't bad and it's fun. So, once I get all that set up I click to purchase the points and...error. No problem these things happen and there's downtime soon anyway. I'll just try again afterwards.

Downtime is over, DDO is back up and now I log in to complete my purchase and get to playing. Error. Ok, so maybe I just can't use the steam wallet option. No worries, I still have $25 in that account I'll just use my card. So I type in my card info, choose the points I want and confirm. Error. Can't purchase the points. Well, now I'm annoyed, but I'm not gonna let that get in my way. I know I can go to the site, use the store there to but a code for the coins and input that at my account page. It's not as handy, but it'll work.

Alright, got everything set up, found the points in the store on the site, it get 50 fewer points for the same price going this route. But at this point I just want to get things taken care of so I can get back to playing. So I purchase the points, get the code and head over to my account page. Seems simple, click a button input the code and here come my points. or....Error...really? The code isn't valid? I bought it 5 minutes ago, I have the page still up, I've got a confirmation email. I'll go see if perhaps it hasn't charged my card yet.

Log into the bank and....wait...overdrafted. Hmm...oh look I was charged for both the code I bought on the site that is invalid as well as the purchase I tried to make with my card through the store that gave me an error and told me it couldn't be completed. Ok, so now I've moved money to my steam wallet, been charged twice from my bank account, and now we can add an overdraft charge...and I still don't have my turbine points. What a fin day of gaming, so glad this is how I spent my day off.

EDIT: Just contacted the store vendor at support.xsolla.com and they said for some reason my payment method was flagged as potentially fraudulent, and fixed it. I just bought points with no issue. Might be worth contacting them.

Thanks for the feedback. However, I have contacted Turbine and they corrected one issue and then 2 more charges from 2 previous attempts are still on my bill. Turbine says they have been refunded but my bank does not show anything being process and that was back on 10/26. I lost $70 on this. Going to try and ask Turbine to look deeper into this.

Sent them an email a few days back but I still haven't heard from them. At this point I might simply use DDO Market to buy point codes. Most of my attempts have gotten refunded by PayPal, but anything paid with a debit card appears to have gotten eaten with nothing to show for it.

Simply put the DDO store is not working correctly for debit cards or credit cards or PayPal. I'm unable to buy turbine points unless I actually called them. They are not open until the week. This is still an issue.

Another ridiculous thing about the store is the fact that a little bit ago, if you spent 3000+ points, you got 30% off. I was a VIP member at the time, so it wouldn't let me buy the damned classes I wanted. I wanted Warlock, et cetera. So, I wrote DDO. They said 'sorry.' In other words, I was PUNISHED for being a VIP.

Now the classes are on sale, yet the one I spent my time on the VIP for months, the Warlock, was of course not on sale. I lost relatively, about 900 points due to this bullcrap of not buying what is available during VIP membership (access to quests and such that you can't buy because you're renting it or whatever).

Regardless, it made me cancel my VIP. I would VIP again in they *fixed* this. Losing 30% because I'm a VIP made z e r o sense. There are threads on this already. My son's account (I pay for both, he's only 7 years old) also had the issue, so it's actually about 1800 points lost due to the 30% reduction from the 3k points we both each had to spend.

Logic like theirs is going to just further this game subscribers down the toilet.

***I Need to make it clear, probably. If you are a VIP, you cannot buy the classes or quests that you are renting. I say renting because I don't know what else you would call it.***
