Thumbs down Why are old Mabar prizes so -expensive?-

    Greetings, all!

Perhaps it's just been my experience, but at level 28 running level 34 & 35 Mabar quests, I've gotten 23 of the special ingredient per run. To purchase and fully upgrade an Eternal Wand of Nimbus of Light, I need...

    1400 Chocolate
360 Spooky Almond (Under New Ravagement) = 16 runs
    240 Black Apple (Haverdashed) = 11 runs
480 Shadowy Caramel (Kobolds' Newest Ringleader) = 21 runs
180 Sinister Cinnamon (Snitch and the Lich) = 8 runs

Assuming that each run, on average, takes 10 minutes, that's 560 runs or about 9 and a half hours of straight running for one item!

This also assumes that keys and chocolate are no obstacle. It may take me 20-30 minutes to get even one key, or I can spend about $30 to get the keys I need from the DDO store.

I'm already a subscriber and this is meant to be a fun seasonal event. The fun just went away. Please fix this, Turbine.

the new items are limited in duration and power, hence the low (relative) amount of time required to get them. the old items are (generally speaking) vastly more powerful and there for require vastly more time to get them.

There was some ruminations about how they (the Dev's) might add additional challenges next iteration (after this one - so in '16) that would have higher level ingredients.

You will also get 23 ingredients running at level 33, which might shave a minute or two off of each run (though this won't address your overall point obviously)

I agree the costs are ridiculous for BTC items. If they were BTA, the grind would be OK, because you'd only need each item once per server. But as BTC, trying to get items for multiple characters would just become a full-time job.

so far we've been running in the highest lv graveyard with 4 teams of 12 people running between 2 spawn points,
I have ran the graveyard for 4 hours yesterday and 2 hours for the quests, with a bit of zerg we've completed most quests (on lv 33) around 4 min each.
I had enough ing for 3 augments, 3 pieces of clothing (to make cosmetics of (the gimmick enh on them is terrible), a cosmetic pumpking head and that left me with enough chocolates to buy a few stacks of pumpking grenades to grieve raids and guildies with XD, it left me with 27 keys to spare.

just run smarter, in bigger groups, concentrated around others, use the tips, you'll get there in no time.
I got through there by talking with party members all the time, go for the social/community thing and time will fly by, stop watching your ing, and have fun, talk about tv, builds, sports, hobbies etc
