    Default Night Revels Liches

Just hopping back in game for my yearly restart, and was able to play the new Mabar. I have a 25th level force spec'd WF Wiz. Clearly force doesn't work on Liches. Nor do any low level spells. Which means I basically blow through my entire blue bar on one lich, maybe two. Hoping someone can catch me up to date on what I should be doing to take down those buggers, and also let me know if a force spec wiz is so 2013. -G

Hmm. Liches in quests do frequently have a spell mantle, which would make them immune to 4th level and below. My advice would be to try disintegrate.

Yeah, I thought about disintegrate, it's just such a sp hog, I was hoping that there was another option. You're probably right though.

    Black Dragon Bolt.

I didn't bring a caster on my run-through, so I don't know if they're susceptible to Undeath to Death.

Got Draconic ED? Energy Burst, Dragon Breath, Energy Vortex.
I Cannith-craft (150 levels in all schools) for free on Thelanis if you provide all needed materials.

As previously mentioned, the SLAs from DI are your easiest bet, and Black Dragon Bolt is good if you have acid power.

Greater Shout works well, if you've got sonic power to back it up.

DBF and Meteor Swarm can work well too, as long as you kill them before they cast fireshield:cold.

Those guys have disintegration ward, so half? of your disintegrates will go poof, which doubles its cost to damage ratio. I don't really recommend that spell.

Huh. Did not know this. Everything I learned about Liches I learned from failing parthilicar tower end fight at level over and over

Yeah, it's a pretty obscure fact. I learned about it sometime back reading the wiki page for liches.

Ruin and Hellball might expensive options?
Perhaps Sunburst since they are undead.

As a druid, Fawngate tends to go SLA Sunburt (to activate group), Firestorm (to get some hits) then let the melee and her wolf clean up the mess.
Any persistant liches receive SLA Order's Wrath, Sunbeam, Order's Wrath spell (meta on the SLA, not on the others) and they die easily.

Divine Wrath is a possible option as well as the above mentioned energy burst group.

Oh Cyclonic Blast (including the SLA) might work. It used to be blocked by mantle because it was bugged, but they recently fixed some issues with that spell so it might function on liches now.

Haven't checked it recently since I don't have a caster with disintegrate currently, but the disintegrate mantle on liches had been broken for a while (since U24 I think).
Or maybe I shouldn't say broken. It's simply not there anymore.

Wait to get the Ruin spell or just avoid them: they are a caster's nightmare and the graveyard is full of another delicious key-dropping mobs (:

Had that on my last ETR on my shiradi build doing orchard slayers for XP (so no ruin). Had no way to damage them, so ended up with a lich conga line following me. They don't even rubberband it seems.

At the risk of sounding exploitative, can't you just go full potato on the lich with everything you got, then go step in delera's to restore your sp? It'll probably break your rhythm and joy of mass destruction, but if that's all you can do, try it out?

yepper, as long as you are in a quest group and have done delara chain, you can go into the right door, run past her for completion then finish out with full sp.

On another note, join a good raid farming group and hit sunburst, meotor swarm, divine wrath, energy burst (fire) and let the melee mop up the trash?
Even w/o full spec, that would do fairly well, get some friends to help?
