    Default Snipercannon

As i already posted here with the new changes to DWS, Improved Critical and 10k stars the pure monk shuriken thrower is a bit behind on DPS compared to multiclass builds.
If you want to keep the same feel of pure monk builds with fast running speed, Abundant Step and high 10k stars procs you will be better off with a 15monk/5 ranger build. It should be easy to switch 20 monk to 15/5 with the free +5 Lesser Hearts.

You can also do this with 14monk/6ranger which will add Sniper Shot and 5 more SA range, but will sacrifice 5% running speed and 5% Doubleshot during 10k stars.
Also you can do this with a halfling or human.

Stats and gear can stay mostly as in my Shuricannon 2.0 build. Since WIS is not that crucial for 10 stars anymore i will try and test going with 2 less WIS and add 4 INT for +1 more damage during Know the Angles and more skillpoints. With 5 ranger you have the opportunity to level Heal and Search as class skills. Lets see how this goes.

In Enhancements take T5 DWS and Ninja II and what DEX you can.

I will post more details of this as i go and test the new changes.

For Favored Enemy, I would definitely take Evil Outsiders considering current and upcoming endgame.

Yes. I took Evil Outsider from the Harper Tree on life but still have to test some of the AA enhancements.

Since AA Imbues don't work with throwing weapons, the only valuable thing you can get out of Arcane Archer is Inferno Shot in my eyes. While it is surely nice, to have i'm not sure it is worth burning 6 AP in the AA tree for it, especially with mostly fire-immune Shavarath endgame content.

An interesting defensive choice is T1 Improved Defense from the Tempest tree. While the Shield of Whirling Steel portion has no effect on a thrower the shorter cooldown for the Deflect Arrows feat seems to work just fine. This enables you to deflect 3-times as many incoming projectiles for the investment of 4 AP. Shavarath content unfortunately has mostly melee-type monsters.

DPS-wise it probably is best to spend as much points as you can in the Harper tree. I'm still tinkering with the best setup but having one more Favored Enemy and Know the Angles is surely a nice benefit.

If you took Sting of the Ninja, Headshot during 10k stars is a good way to initially gain multiple stacks and proc its damage.

If you have a target below 50% health, Merciful Shot is a good finishing move. You can either time to activate it when you see you are doing SA damage on your target (e.g. during Bluff/Deception/No aggro) or if you went with 6 ranger use the Snipershot -> Merciful Shot combo. The damage scales with ranged power so be sure to activate Action Boost: Ranged Power before you attack.

Does Slaying Arrow still work with throwers? Also I think the AA capstone's +20% Doubleshot is a passive bonus which applies to any ranged or thrown weapon. Dunno if those bonuses are worth 41 APs, but it's worth checking out.

EDIT: just noticed OP is taking T5 DWS, so Slaying Arrow is out.

I didn't test Slaying Arrow specifically but so far all active ranged attacks have worked with throwers. The things that don't work are the imbues which is unfortunate.

Imbues work fine w throwers. Activate imbue, equip a bow, then equip thrower. Imbue stays. Quite yummy with the new elemental arrows w spell power.

Slayer arrows work fine, but you do not have the sp to use it a lot. The sp enhancements to make it possible are bow only.

Many shot also is bow only. Despite posts by the devs stating it did need bow anymore... Removed when they posted the new ability.

Paralyzingly imbue plus 10k needing wisdom are nice and conveinient.

Sneak attack from rogue lvls is hard to give up.

Drow over halfing? Is that a worthy trade off? Sure you get a free feat but you dont get the SA or the +1 crit range. Plus you get a better IPS because you are shorter.

Amusing that they still haven't fixed this bug, but I wouldn't count on it indefinitely.

It's not a bug it's the only feature that makes arcane archer tolerable since they refuse to improve the bow animation like they did with xbows. The fact that aa imbues scale with spell power not ranged power and that the dcs on the crowd control are wisdom based rather than dex still has me pretty salty. The tree just poorly synergizes with the other two ranger trees because it was made to be more accessible to elves and monks.

As i wrote in the OP you can also do this with halfling or human. The choice is yours. I used one of the free +5 hearts to switch from 20 monk drow to this build so i chose it as a template. You can also take 6 ranger instead of only 5. Doesn't change the basic build. It's all a tradeoff. I didn't put many points into the racial tree in favor of the harper tree so far so the ranged power i gain works at full range. I'm not one who likes to rely that much on Sneak Attacks because i solo quite a lot.

This! I also consider this a bug and wouldn't base a build on it.

Thanks for the update as I am thinking about TR'ing my pure Shuricannon drow monk. I have never played a halfling, and for the first time I might consider playing one and go 15/5 as you suggested. I will miss a few things from pure monk though, I admit that. My gear is not super, but it will suffice for a 3rd life chara.
Will keep an eye on this tread, thanks for posting

Maybe it's bug or it is not but it was working for a long long long time even before ranger pass, and if they havent fixed something what is more broken than this (wolf exploit) in like 2 years it's out, or treefolks(gaining free charges when they shoudnt and bypassing attack speed with cleaves who ignores speed cap), i doubt they gonna fix this either.

Just wanted to mention that the new feats with U20 leave some interesting options for throwers to go with:

The most obvious is to go for DPS with Harbinger of Chaos or Embodyment of Order combined with elemental damage from one of the Scion of the Plane of X feats combined with high element spellpower from a TOEE set and probably the level 26 ED feat (if you wish you can also twist more spellpower from Draconic Incarnation). This can bring you way over 100 elemental damage per shuriken at full range. Acid looks nice since it is seldomly resisted and brings another +20 PRR to the table.

The other route is to go for a constant stream of healing. Scion of the Shadowfell works with throwing weapons (at least on Lamannia it did) and is subject to HealAmp. Since this build and the Shuricannon already have +105% HealAmp this brings more than 2d6 healing per shuriken. If you craft a Legendary Greensteel offhand weapon with HealAmp on it and also take the Fount of Life feat you can get way more than +200% HealAmp which gives you more than 3d6 healing per shuriken (more HealAmp can be gained by twisting Purity of Essence Tier 3 Exalted Angel and core abilities when running in Divine Crusader or Unyielding Sentinel). At an average of more than 3 shuriken per attack animation that is between 30 and 40 healing. At a fire rate of more than 80 shuriken per minute and when proccing on multiple attacks with Improved Precise Shot this is an awesome amout of healing! Likely you don't even need to twist Cocoon anymore.

Also quite useful is the Scion of the Astral Plane feat which adds +8% Doubleshot, +4% Dodge and Dodge Cap as well as +4 to Reflex saves.

People who are more interested in Sneak Attack Damage (the 14 Monk/6 Ranger variant with Sniper Shot) could go for SA damage instead of elemental damage with the Scion of the Ethereal Plane feat by investing heavily into the Hide skill. It also adds Invis Guard and +4 to all skills.

Also with the new Spellpower per Epic Level and when taking Cold damage for TOEE set and Scion feat it could be interesting to see if it is fun to take the Burst of Glacial Wrath feat for some AOE damage now and then. (You could also Twist Energy Burst Cold)

Did a Legendary Elite guild run with an "oldschool" pure monk shuricannon and this build. We did the new Meridia quests and I was testing the mobs' saves on my pale master while the two shuri-chuckers dealt with most of the mobs. As far as I can tell this build is fine for the new contend, my pale master will need some rework. (Enchantment worked, Necro spells not so much)

Yes it is still a lot of fun.

I'm still tinkering with the idea of the constant healing burst from shuriken attacks for the fun of it.
As far as Legendary Greensteel is involved it seems you can gain 150 HealAmp that stacks with +45 from the Mysterious Cloak/Bracers. That means:

    150 LGS Tier 3 offhand weapon (30 Enhancement/50 Equip./70 Competence)
    +45 Mysterious Cloak/Bracers (Except.)
    +30 Pally PL
    +20 Ship Buff
    +20 Harper Tier 4
+20 Human Tier 1 (if going human)
    +10 (+X) Shintao Core(s)

=295 HealAmp which is about 4d6 HP per shuriken or 14 HP average or a bit more than 42 HP per attack animation and per target. Anything i'm missing that could boost that further without too much investment?

+10 Purity of Essence Exalted Angel Tier 3 Twist
+20 Fount of Life level 29 ED feat
+20 Epic Destiny US (Vigor Stance) or DC Cores
+50 (Insight) from (Epic) Jidz-Tetka in Fire Stance
=395 or ~5d6 (17 av.) HP per shuriken

    Default Human Enhancements?

Plz how you will setup Enhancements for human? tnx

note for the 6 ranger split is that sniper shot is not just about auto-bluff but a crit multi enhancer which for furyshottimg is a must:
Ranged Attack: Performs a ranged attack with +2[W], a +4 bonus to-hit, +2 to critical threat range, and +2 to Critical Damage Multiplier. On Damage: The target will become momentarily confused and rendered vulnerable to sneak attacks for four seconds as if affected by the bluff skill. (Cooldown 6 seconds)
Wiki dashboard with some useful stealthplay links. LONG LIVE STEALTH!
Proud Knight of the Silver Legion, Cannith: Saekee (main) and some others typically parked at some level to help guildies and other players

That depends entirely on your preference for defensive or offensive playstyle. There is definately more things that you might want than what you have AP for.

I recommend going for all Tier 5 DWS enhancements which sum up to 40 AP for the tree. You also want at least 6 in Ninja spy for the 2nd core or 11 if you take Shadow Veil. I usually put most of the rest into the Harper tree for Know the Angles and another Favored Enemy and put nothing into the racial tree so race is usually irrelevant for AP distribution. If going for the constant heal version i would only put the necessary points to get HealAmp into the human tree and also get the HealAmp in the Harper Tree Tier 4.

@Saekee: Even though you can certainly do it i usually run in LD instead of Fury ED. With the new endgame content in Legendary Elite raids you need PRR and HP as well as CC more than anything else in my opinion. If you have to run in the Primal tree i would even recommend going back to the roots and run in Shiradi for Nerve Venom and other CC. When characters can be killed in one hit CC is the best DPS so to speak.

I LR'd my 1st life 28 halfling monk to a 14/6 version of this build. It's working very well so far for EH soloing, which is about all I've done with it since the change. DPS and survivability are both much improved.
