Here's an idea for TRing that might be interesting--

What if they added a kind of TR (or just made it apply to current TR's) where ALL of your toons on a given server got the bonus? So if you get a Fighter past life, it applies to all of your toons? I know I'd sure make a ton more alts and try different things out. Maybe leave the build point bonus as is so if you want 36 point build you still need to TR a toon a couple of times. It just seems like a lot of people have basically abandoned many of their alts due to the effort involved in stacking up past lives. But if they could keep the fruits of their labor, it might be a lot more interesting to have multiple toons. Which means more effort to get gear.

In the past, I would have strongly been opposed to an idea like this, but now that I don't have the time to play like I used to and have fallen way behind on the TR and ETR trains, it might be a very useful way for players to 'catch' up with Heroic TR's, which are far less powerful than epic TR's. (and not spend $50 for an otto's box each life)

Of course I'd like to see them get rid of the 2nd+ life xp penalty [even the adjusted one], so that returning players or new players can actually catch up to the power curve.

However, neither is likely to happen.

SWTOR has this and they call it legacy experience. There is an overall server account xp tracker that applied to all characters on that account. The rewards are server-wide and take longer to earn.

I like this idea overall because character-only rewards encourage exactly what we have now people having one super character and rarely running others.

If they do come up with a new TR mechanism, I would prefer it to be account wide as you suggest. Or alternatively have a reward structure for @ cp xp so you can get account benefits by earning xp @ cap.
