    Default All Worlds 'Closed'

    Evening all,

I have been following various steps in the support FAQs and even submitted a ticket, but figured I would also try a post here. I am a returning player, using my account from 5 months ago, and renewed my VIP status. I downloaded the files, first through Happy Cloud, which allowed me to download a portion, then be able to play, rather than wait for the entire client. I am able to login, but whenever I try to choose a world to join, all worlds are listed as 'CLOSED' and in red text. After following some steps from the Support Base that didn't work (checking my firewall settings, mainly to allow HappyCloud traffic) I decided to go back and try downloading the entire client. Again, same issue.

Now, I have not added any different antivirus/firewall/protection products to this PC. I am running Win7 64-bit w/ AVG 2014 (the paid product) and have all the TurbineInvoker and TurbineLauncher allowed int he firewall settings.

Any ideas from anyone on what to try next? I do have a ticket in with Support, so I am patiently awaiting them to check my account and get back to me, but if any savvy DDO'ers have suggestions, I would love to hear them.

I know little about Happy cloud, but right off the top of my head...

Delete all enteries related to Turbine products from your Firewall. Make sure your Firewall is set to "ask if something should be allowed" then launch the game and answer yes for each instance it needs to make a new rule for.

I ditched AVG years ago so you are on your own there.

If you go through a router, make certain that it wasn't configured to block access also.

Most of the installers from Turbine currently do not work very well (if at all to be honest), check the link in my signature called DDO-Wrapper.

The typical cause for this is a Firewall issue; it may be that Windows is asking for some kind of "Allow Access" in your UAC that isn't displaying correctly for you. It sounds like you've already been in touch with Technical Support; if so, please reply to your ticket so they know the issue remains unresolved. If you haven't contacted them, you can do so through support.turbine.com.

It may also be worth downloading the non-Happy Cloud version of the game client, which can be found here: http://content.turbine.com/sites/cli...do/ddolive.exe
Have fun, and don't forget to gather for buffs!
