While I understood why they added the Mabar loot to the Mimic event I am not a fan of different events having the same loot.
My hope is that if the Mimic event does return that they update the loot to be something specific to that event.
Now I will miss the Mabar event. I had some fun gathering with random pugs and guild groups. In the end I mainly ran this for the +5 tome access and was able to do this for 3 characters.
So while I like the loot from Mabar, I really want Turbine to have unique loot for each of its events.
- Make the OLD Mabar ingredients BTA, so the cheats cant sell/trade them.
- Bring back the Mabar Vendor (this one time only), so players can use up Mabar collectables.
- Allow swapping of NEW ingredients to OLD (at a vendor), so players who don't have enough scales, fangs etc can complete a Mabar item.

/signed. The Mimic Hunt should have its own loot and Halloween loot should only be available from a Halloween event.

Mimic event gives you random cards. Random sucks. Always.
I will have to /signed also as I don't feel random goes well with niche gear, also it will open up allot of space to add some interesting things to the mimic hunt
G-land, Balistas Magicas, Bashukar Bloodaxe, Kobur Curse of Dragon, Necromatix

Most of the gear in the new festival is niche, which I honestly feel will diminish the popularity of this event for the second year's run if everyone acquires what they want this time around. I do want this event to succeed, this time of year just screams for a full blown festival. Adding a tiered loot table like the Mabar gear would add so much longevity to Night Revels. Perfectly acceptable to require dark chocolates, almonds, whatever else to upgrade it, just mesh it with the new design. Everybody wins!
"When asked if the developers hate the players, as they make so many challenging jumping puzzles, their response was that they have what they consider a “… normal amount of contempt for the players.” This is good. A dungeon master should always nurse a healthy contempt for his or her players."
/signed I was anticipating that that was going to happen. I am willing to grind for stuff, but dislike the random nature of mimic hunt/birthday event.

While I loathed Mabar, and really have no plans to take part in the Revels... it's kinda baffling to me that the old loot was not folded in. Sure, add new stuff. But, for most, the loot was the worm on the hook to run the event. Change the bait, and you won't catch as many fish.
I was assuming that the Mabar items would be removed from the Mimic event if they added them to the Night Revels. And consequently, the Mimic event would get it's own thematically appropriate rewards (as opposed to giving out items that were obviously designed for Halloween).
I should've mentioned that in the OP. My bad on that one.

/not signed on the Mabar loot entering Night Revels (powerful gear for no challenge at all)
/SIGNED for bringing back Mabar as it was with lag and everything and its appropriate gear or at least an event that has the same qualities as Mabar.

Otherwise I have no reason to run this event at all. New items are worthless to me, and the event itself isn't fun enough for me to participate in, even for the sake of doing something other than questing.

Mabar was my favorite festival. I could zone out for a few hours just farming there...mainly for my monk & rogue characters. Loved the items & the updated items (augments of Good, Silver & Endless Night). They should be included as well as possible new items that aren't found elsewhere (Cannith Challenges).
Though many complained of the massive lag when the dungeon was open, it was a fun experience. I understand why the old ingredients are now defunct but, like previously asked, can we use new ingreds for the old items If brought back.
Please include old items.

Even if people duped the ingredients, let's be honest. Most dupers are more than willing to help out new players and others who are short on ingredients and pass out freebies to help people finish items, let's stop the blame on the dupers for Mabar and put it back on the devs; two years and this is our replacement as well as a big middle finger on our Mabar ingredients and a nice little misdirection attempt by blaming the dupers.

The new loot is useless to me. If this event goes live like this I'll just run the quests/challenges once to check them out and I'll be done.
