    Default How to make Absolute Minimum Level 20 blank?

    At http://ddowiki.com/page/Minimum_leve..._minimum_level I read this:

    Since Update 14, higher level variants of randomly generated armor have been introduced (see Armor by Proficiency), as well as randomly generated weapons dealing double base damage (2W). When you strip the enchantments from these items via Cannith Crafting deconstruction, the resulting blanks are not reduced to ML:1, but rather to their absolute minimum level.
    I've looked at dozens and dozens of weapons on the AH and haven't seen anything with an AML. There are level 20+ weapons with 2[W] damage, but when I strip them they are ML1. Does anyone know how I would go about making a AML20 blank for crafting? (Specifically, I'm looking for an AML20 blank silver dagger, which I'm imagining is going to be impossible to find. If I can't get it, should I just go with a ML1 blank silver dagger, which isn't too terribly easy to find either?)

    IIRC you used to have to do this by a particular type of weapon but now when you craft the weapon it is based on the total + of the time

    Interesting. So you're saying that the Wiki has obsolete information. I was kind of suspecting that. Thanks!

    You should read a little further down the wiki page, OP: "Originally, similar mechanics existed for epic weapons; when you stripped enchantments from an epic weapon, the resulting blank had 2[W] and was ML:20. This was changed later; amount of W is now dynamically calculated according to the total level of enchantments on a crafted weapon. For example, a +5 Keen weapon (with 6 levels of enchantments) gains +0.5W; a +5 Holy Burst Weapon of Greater Outsider Bane and Red slot (11 levels of enchantments) gains +1W."

    AFAIK, the only blanks with absolute min lvl anymore are armor & shields.
