Default 15 months offer didn't apply

    Hello!

I signed to the 15 months of VIP promotion while my current subscription was still active the last time it appeared. I know that the promotion would apply even to those that had an active subscription when it expired, just as long as we signed to it in time.

However, now that my subscription was renewed, I noticed that my subscription is set to expire 12 months from the date it was renewed and not 15, as it should be.

I opened a ticket about it, but I thought that it would be a good idea to talk about it on the forums as well.

This happened to a friend of mine too, just asked him to check it out. I only noticed this because I am considering signing for it again now that it appeared.

Existing VIP players can certainly take advantage of any VIP promotions that we run or change their plans by selecting the 'Change Billing Options' link when they are logged into the MyAccount site. In your case however, you were considered to already be on the 15 month offer so our system did not count it as a real change when you went to go take advantage of this again. That's why you were renewed as per normal for the 12 months, and shenanigans ensued.

    TL;DR:
I found your ticket, and I'm going to fix it.

Tell your friend to submit a ticket too, if he hasn't done so already. If anyone else is had this issue and is reading this thread, you should also submit a ticket so I can take care of it. Tickets for days!
I do respond to PMs, but please note that I can get backed up. If you need immediate assistance, please refer to the links below!

    Default 15 month offer

So if I am on auto renewal in my account, and I go to ddo.com and click on the store, I can then click on the $99 12 month offer and follow the check out links and i will get my 15 month vip extended. Or do i need to change something in the my account window first

For you, yeah. You'll want to log into myaccount.turbine.com, however. Once you are logged in, scroll down until you see your subscription plan banner, click on the 'Change Billing Options' link and select the 15 month plan. You won't be billed until your current subscription is up for renewal, and your 15 months will kick in at that time.

    Nice one.

My next billing date isn't until next April. Just upgraded my plan to be 15 months for the price of 12 when it kicks in next year. Cost me nothing right now. Seems like a no-brainer.

    Oooo awesome! Thanks!

I just helped him open the ticket (he doesn't speak english very well).

Both of us signed for the promotion again a couple of hours ago, by changing billing options and selecting the 15 month plan. Maybe this issue will happen again by November/2016 and October/2016 (mine and his case), since maybe the system won't detect the changes? If it does, no big deal however, since it's only a ticket away.

Yep, literally says on the account page:

    Subscription Plan
    1 Year DDO Plan
Next Billing Date: 8/**/2016 **:**:** PM
Next Billing Plan*: 1 Year DDO Plan + 3 Months Free
    * Takes effect on your Next Billing Date

So pay nothing now, reap rewards later. Glad I read this thread because I was actually a little annoyed as I had just 12 month renewed less than a month ago. Whatever way you look at it, it's still a Starbucks coffeeish per month in VIP fees.

    Hi CS_Alkaid,

I was already on this plan and would like to take advantage of it again, so like the OP, it won't look like a change of plan. Do we need to put in a ticket if we did the 15-month plan last year and want to take advantage of it for the next billing cycle? I don't mind paying the $99 now if that is what needs to happen to get the extra months tacked on to my renewal date.

    Thanks!
