Hi there,
I know a lot of people suffer client drop outs when zoning into certain areas, I myself suffer from it regularly, even to the point where I wonder what the hell I am paying to play for.
One thing I did notice is that when zoning into particular areas like Vale or GH or even Sands, a LOT of information pops up on the screen, slayer count boxes, your pets, other people's pets, tr auras and area name information in the middle of the screen.
It appears to me that this onslaught of information when zoning is creating the client drop problem.
My suggestion is that in these types of areas, you might need to move the onslaught of information on people's connections away from the initial spawn spot in the zone allowing them to spawn properly and be properly zoned into the area before receiving all that information. For eg at least 5 character steps away from the spawn spot in the area allowing proper zoning and a few steps before the information loads onto the screen.
This is something you could implement fairly easily, I am sure and I am also sure it would alleviate the client drop out issue on zoning into areas!
I really hope you try this because I have had just about enough of losing xp from my client dropping out when zoning into certain areas and by the time I get back the quest is done and I am not having fun leveling.
Cheers
Raeyyne!
