    Question Thief hireling wanted

I'm trying to start a few new characters and I would like to stick with one class but I also want to be able to disable devices, open locks... I'm on Korthos right now and found the hireling vendor but he doesn't have a thief, do they change at times or can I not get a hireling thief as early as Korthos?

Heroic rogue hirelings are available in the store only.

    You can.

But AS aren't easy to come by for newer and more casual players unless you buy them outright from the store!

And buying Rogue hires with AS can get expensive FAST even if you know exactly which quests you need them for and are willing to place them safely out of the way in your bank when running quests that you don't need them for!

Also - Not every player can run every quest in 5-10 minutes - The longer you spend in a quest the more Rogue hirelings will cost you!

Thankfully there are Epic {Lvl 21-24} Rogue Hirelings that can be bought for plat BUT unfortunately NONE at Lvl 1-20 {or 25-28}.

    Suggestion to the Devs:
Take the Lvl 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 16, 19 and 20 Rogue Hires {Riana, Talonia, Shadow, Istrin, Fira, Morlass, Tatyana and Sullivan} and add them to the Plat vendors.
If players specifically want Rogue hires of the levels missing then they still have to pay AS/TP BUT at least they will have a Plat option available to them with this change.

Luckily, there isnt a single quest in Korthos,(Or the game for that matter) that "Requires" a rogue in order to complete the quest.

    Maybe not for you!

But for newer and more casual players absolutely there are quests like that!

Xorian Cypher, Tomb of the Shadow Knight, Chains of Flame, Tomb of the Tormented.

Yes every one of these quests CAN be done without a Rogue - The challenge of doing so can be pretty extreme though!

Yes many groups will have at least one player who can get you a completion no matter BUT you do still see LFMs looking for Trappers {even if that's seen as calling yourself a gimp!}.

for everybody. maybe not on elite.. but Elite isnt a right. If you cant handle the trap on elite, Drop down to hard or normal. you will get by it.

oh wait, so suddenly you do agree with me... but its gonna be tough... cry me a river.... suck it up and do it. or dont. Or drop the difficulty. in the end, a rogue is still NEVER required.

There are 2 reasons groups look for trappers.

1: they dont know any better.
2: They are looking for the trap bonus XP

Tell me how someone who doesn't know how to get past the traps in a specific quest doesn't NEED a trapper?

This is actually a good point - There's no way I'll EVER run Shadow Knight without a trapper simply because it's not WORTH running that quest if you can't get the traps!
