That is correct. I got it opened. There is a ladder that appears to go to room above. I spent about 30 mins trying to get to that ladder. Not successful though.

I think that is Searing Heights--you are up the mountain there on the inside--I will guess from the Southern entrance past wolves?

Note that there is NO WAY a mushroom would grow in such conditions

I seem to recall that there is a spot you can climb up--really high--that leads nowhere. Would it be there?

BTW you have agitated so much here for people to run Chains of Flame for the xp, I feel like you have...betrayed that quest by doing Fire Caves...

I'm going to say in Claw of Vulkoor, by the shrine over the passageway, after killing the fire giant that guards the lava pool over which we have a bit of Super Mario to reach the end of the quest. ( not far from the Giant Tomb )

It's above the end boss - You can climb up and there's an exit.
