Default drop rate issue -- Deathwyrm.

What is the drop rate of named items in Deathwyrm?

I have done about 60+ EE's of that raid and I've seen about 7-8 drops (feeling generous!) total in groups of 6-12 people.

so.. that's about 480 chests total.. so in order to get one random loot I need to do 60 runs.

    Is this WAI?

edit. I prefer to loot my loot. A specific item would grant me a smashing ~0.5% chance every time I finish this raid.

Jeez Jichael, where were you when we had 3 friggin bracers in one single run in a six (or was it 8?) man group and no one even wanted them?

Just pike less. I still don't know what to do with that stuff. I have 3 bracers and use 0 of them.

I was actually in that run and it was only 2 pairs... of useless junk!

I've looted the hat myself once.
I've seen the belt drop twice.
I've seen the bracers atleast 2 times earlier and
+2-3 hats. But now I'm including some hard runs ^^

Considering that there are 1-3 items on EH Defiler(and i bet there are a lot of ransacking going on!), my spider senses tells me that something is really fishy when it comes to DW and thunderpeaks.

EDIT: I, for one, wouldn't mind if they removed the 20th list in order to make room for some drops that we can actually loot.

    EDIT AGAIN!

Back in the day we used to have static drops: 1 Normal, 2 Hard and 3 on Elite. Raid leader was in charge of distribution. (SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!)

Droprates in DoJ are a lot better. But then there's also the new mythic version system. So you may still run it after you got the basic items wanted, to chase that extra bit of power.

Droprates in Peaks and Wyrm were always bad. But then those raids are mainly there for TF crafting system. With only 3 named pieces per raid, low droprates can be somewhat justified (you still get crafting ings with every run nonetheless).

I do agree to a certain degree. One random item should drop every 12man EE IMO .. that would make the chance of getting your item a tad bit higher then let us say a SOS, but this is still an end game raid that requires some sort of co-ordination and experience and parking a toon for 20 completions is just outright boring and not how this game is designed anymore.

I have never seen an item drop in fire and thunder. Never, ever.

I honestly feel that the current ENx20 takes the joy out of raiding.

Raiding is supposed to be the top difficulty, the crown of the jewel in quest design, where only top toons go to test their abilities to its maximum. It is not compulsory to raid and you can do very well in DDO without raid items.

So even the concept of tiered difficulties in raid is odd to me, let alone letting everyone get the loot with cheesy completitions.

But ever since the new raids were introduced this is all I have seen. Why even have raids then? Rolf stomping them in EN is no fun and most of the times higher difficulties more than once is not well rewarded.

    Drop rate?.
I run these raids with 0 expectation of anything dropping, its for phlogistons and incremental 20th end rewards.

It's one of the reasons it's sorta hard to find parties for both deathwyrm, fotp and mod. YOu either plan to run them 20 times or you don't run them at all.

At least they got this right with defiler

Would people think it would be a good thing to retroactively add mythic item versions to Peaks, Deathwyrm and MoD?

This would completely take out the point of running it 20xEN and done, especially for those that got the base items already, but would encourage to go for the higher diffs to actually get some mythics (as for DoJ mythics can drop on any diff, but higher difficulty has a much higher chance to get the better ones).

This would also revive those raids to some degree, giving a chance to get their stuff for the poor souls that missed loot train when those raids came out.

By mythic version I mean the 1-4 PRR/MRR or 1-4 RP/MP/SPP bonuses btw.

We should have FOT, CITW, Tempest's Spine, Von5/6, and Titan redone in reaper with the mythic system and altered loot.
This would give the game another year of life for endgamers.
    Bang bang bang it out!

All we need to do is alter the boss fights: add dat' DoJ firebomb and suddenly the raid is impossibly difficult!

if there is a ~0.5-0.6% to get an item of choice on EE what would the % for mythics be like?

Now we are talking confirmed Loch-Ness sighting numbers!

Would probably make sense to adjust droprates with it then anyway. EE MoD droprates weren't bad either though.

I think they learned and Defiler of the Just has the best loot system in a long time. It's not an absolute grind to get your items, but there is always a reason to keep running it and running it at higher difficulties for the mythic bonuses.

Deathwyrm drop rates were really bad, but of course there were only a few items so they didn't want to make it too easy.

~0.5% on EE or the more comical and cumulative 5% on normal.

You must be pretty alone in this idea-- it's like winning on the lottery on your first try.. well this was easy!!

It's a 50% chance. You either get it or you don't.
