what about the ladder bug we've been stuck with for 9 years? They implemented things we didn't always ask for as a collective player base. We asked for less ingredients, they give us more ingredients and a store option to hold all the junk.

Would you pay a one time fee of 50$, to help DDO become
    something better?

By far this , this is my favorite toy.

My toy needs a serious upgrade.

don't you see the contradiction? You'd pay 50$ for changes, but people have paid thousands of $$$ and persistent bugs still exist...

one time fee? Isnt that usually called the purchase price of the game?

oh. You want me to buy it again... one time?

Sorry. Turbine isnt a Charity and WB has plenty of money to improve the game. If they want more than my VIP sub and some points purchases here and there, they need to show me something worth paying for.

This is where I'm at... and the state of the software is the least of the problems... I'll be back when cordo is gone. In the mean time, I'm finding other fun things to play and spend money on.

I would with the promise they would add in gnomes and kobolds as player races. Anyone who would not want kobolds, or gnomes even dark gnomes....is a troll who doesn't play to be honest.

our opinions differ over that. I dont believe there is a scaling economy as much, rather quality of staff

Around 50$ is what Turbine get's from me every year since I went Premium. The "contend/fun per buck" ratio of DDO is OK to me and I think it should be enough for Turbine to improve the game further. I think they should invest in better (viral) marketing and close the hughe gap between long time and new playes we got over the years.

I would if Turbine had a proposed plan to show us. What i would like to see in this plan would be:

    1) Adding PvP in a way that is actually meaningfull, competitive and interesting. Including
    . a) Guild Wars
    . b) Open PvP areas
    . c) Group PvP battles
    2) Introduction of PvP items
    3) Complete revamp of old feats (e.g slicing blow), old Epic Items, Destinies and Trees.
    4) Adding more visual graphics on the characters (attack visuals, clothing etc)

As a ddo player for over 5 years i think that the game has achieved a good PvE level with ups and downs during this time. The thing is that you can't expect to keep a big amount of players just with PvE no matter how many new mobs and items you add every now and then. What this game really needs is a good PvP mechanic where you can test your skills and efforts from all the amount of time spent in PvE all these years, against other players. This is the direction Turbine should invest into and this is where you get your popularity back.

    Hopefully they will deliver...

PvP was actually never supposed to be in DDO at all. PvP was added shortly after launch 2006 to appease a small population of players that were very out spoken. Pen and Paper doesn't really have written campaigns or modules for PvP either. I can understand the desire; however, DDO should not have to sink to levels of Halo and Destiny type games for a niche. They would be better served actually removing what PvP is in game.

I hate the idea of more PvP more than I do the idea of adding more realms NO MORE PVP it wont make money. DDO and d&d arent suited for PVP

PvP goes against the entire being, against every fiber of DnD; so I agree with this.

When I decided to play DDO, I invested about $250 US in the game for Expansions and Turbine Points. Not long thereafter, changes to the game dramatically undermined my enjoyment of DDO to the point I rarely play. Since I do not feel sufficiently entertained for money already spent, I will not offer additional funds for unspecified improvements. However, if Turbine releases a DDO upgrade that very clearly improves my experience, I will pay for it.

adding more PVP functionality to DDO will distract what little the dev's do too much, and improvements will come at a snailpace ( i.e. a snail slithering over coarse salt in a desert environment).

I honestly think persistent bugs and nuisances need to be ironed out with due diligence, then whatever comes next might look appealing enough to invest again.
