Default Hireling Stand Your Ground AI has been improved

Yeah its been improved, now if your hireling is on stay/passive, and you use it to interact with the opening of a door. Pulling a lever, using a valve.. Anything interactable. The stand your ground button auto turn's itself back on. Cute. Some improvement, more like, lets hassle the playerbase some more with wonky hireling AI. Broke something that was working fairly well, again. No big suprise, again.

Yup, just noticed it in pop where a hire promptly run into electric barrier right after switching the lever. Luckily the lever pulling animation is quite long so you can switch him back into "stand your ground" mode before he moves. But there will be places where it's not that easy (maze in Crucible maybe?)

    SERIOUSLY DEVS?

WHY DOES EVERY SINGLE HIRELING UPDATE MAKE THEM WORSE?

This really is getting beyond a joke now! Can you please fix them to at least work as well as they did in 2010? That's all I ask!

My Level 25 Owlbear defender and Level 20 Onyx Panther now just don't attack, at all!

They just run up to mobs and try to sniff their backsides...

Just to make it clear to the devs, it was sometimes handy to park a hireling at one place and order them to use a lever/switch/rune, either right there or a ways away and then have them run back to where they were before after using the item. If the flag is being cleared to help keep them from getting in a brain-damaged state, maybe you could work in not clearing it if they're on passive?

so let me get this straight

Step 1. Press "Stand Your Ground Response: Hireling stays in area

Step 2. Order Hireling to pull Lever Response: Hireling Pulls lever than returns to the "flag" as per his standing orders.

Sounds like it's WAI to me.

Wait, I'm confused. What part was working fairly well that they broke? Because it sure as heck was not stand your ground. That wasn't working at all. There was nothing that was working fairly well on the hires.

Owlbear level 17 has the same non-attack behavior.

And I could not make him defend the Seers in Madness Crater.
